Power Windows After Turning Off Ignition

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I have a sedan and after turning off the ignition, I can still control the driver's side window for an amount of time. Why is it only the driver's side windows?

Question is, has anyone tried modifying it so that you can control all windows? I don't think it should be that hard right? It would be very convenient.

Hmm.... anyone out there with a sedan that can comment? or is it just my car that can only do the driver's window?

anyone you guys with a sunroof as well? i'll like to hook it up to that too.

Can't comment on a sedan window, but my coupe sunroof need the ignition to be on to close it (where the windows don't). Don't think it's a big enough deal myself to try to change it.

a little bit of lateral thinking people. latching relay. use the drivers door to unlatch the thing. from there isolate the window IGN feed and use the relay to keep power after you remove the key. common thing in GM vehicles.
