And Beer Baron, of Sydney, blamed the drivers for their choice of residence.

"Suck it up people, you want to move to the Central Coast deal with these issues," he said.

"How anyone would want to travel so far to and from work is beyond me. It was a petrol tanker people - if the thing had blown up and killed people you would still whinge ... Labor, Liberal, Nationals, Greens they are all the same and the result would have been no different."

Hahaha, good point there.

I used to live on the coast, although public transport was a joke, there was 2 sets of traffic lights between tuggerah and doyalson... it had its bad and good points.

Now the place sucks. Bogans driving around in their commodores... i am glad i escaped while i had the chance.

As for the F3, well... i find it you sit on 100k/hr you don't have a problem at all. until there is an accident.

For me, traveling 60kms each way to work is not a problem, i go through 3 sets of traffic lights between tuggerah and hornsby, u tell me somewhere in sydney that u can do that, I have worked in sydney all my life and lived on the coast, u get the problems of things like this happening.

Yes it was a petrol tanker, and another truck, 90% of MAJOR freeway closures are due to trucks f**king up. And most of these would not have anything to do with cars. Maybe its time that truck drivers under go more training or speed limits be lowered.

Hahaha, good point there.

The place doesnt suck man, i work in sydney all day and then come home and its so peaceful on the coast, u can breathe easy and realy the area isnt over crouded like sydney.

$28 million dollars has been spent on the contra flow systems, and these wernt opened up until 8-9 hours after the accident happened..WTF..

Myself and Qantas were stuck in this.. finished work at 5 at hornsby and got home at 9.30 at tuggerah.. its a joke.

We were on the old road and we had a truck behind us.. i was leaving a 1 to 2 car gap and letting the car crawl in first, to save the clutch a bit, and this truckie was just CM off our back bumper, flashing his lights and honking the horn.. he of all ppl can see quite well that the traffic wasnt moving at all..

/end rant

Well, thinking back on it... only the part between Wyong and Toukley sucks. I cannot comment on the rest of it. Lived there for 15 years of my life and I grew up with people that inhabit the area. I can tell you now that it has left a lasting impression on me.

As for the over-crowding - if only the council upgraded the infrastucture before opening up all the land releases...

I find it so funny everyone always dumping shit on the central coast, when it's such I pain in holidays and round xmass with all the city people running around our beaches, some people hate the coast but most people love it, if it was such a bogan place I can see why we get all the city siders here bothering us with there stupid ways time and time again.

I cant believe they spent so much money on the contra flow systems when its just some cross over points on the highway and some gates on the old pac...

then again the 2 Central coast welcome signs cost over $40K wtf... there must be some tradie friends of council making some huge money on some of crap projects that council comes up with...

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
