in all seriousness now when i go go-karting i just use gardening gloves.. they're the 'dearer' gardening gloves with suede but they'll do the trick if ur gettin sweaty hands

10bux job done. i mainly use them to avoid blisters.. :)

This might be a little off topic lol, but does any of you guys grind your teeth or crunch your jaws when going through the really twisted roads?

I did that for the whole weekend and now my jaw is really sore :S

invest in a mouthguard?

hahahahah, so we'll now be cruising the twisties with driving gloves, helmets and mouth guards....

and to be extra safe, make sure you're ready for the 'duct tape death match' as well, hands won't ever come off then :)

but yeah, something like suede on leather would probably be pretty grippy

I don't know if that will work lol, but maybe I'll give it a try next time xD

At least I'll get to keep my teeth if I happen to brake really quickly and I smack my face on the steering wheel lol

What about goggles and a padded suit? (the scarf is optional) lol

Hey all

The GOR cruise really highlighted the fact that I need driving gloves for mountain twisties. Not because I'm a wannabe racer, but I remember a few spirited corners with sweaty palms and just dreading what would happen if my grip loosened a bit.

Does anyone know of decent gloves that aren't bulky and have enough grip in them? Had a look on ebay, and the only half-decent ones for car driving are the go-kart ones.

The more expensive Nomex ones I found from another post are like >$100 delivered

GMP gloves

OMP Gloves

What are people's experiences with these or cheaper alternatives? Is Nomex the be all and end all? Also if I am looking at doing track work in the future do I need "FIA approved gloves"?

Thanks.

Do they come with a matching skirt? jks

This whole thread is farkin hilarious :D . Thanks for the sAfrican Americans! Edit: I'd better use the word chuckles instead of s-n-i-g-g-e-r-s

Sorry to get serious, but if you sweat more than other people > try Magnesium supplements for a month and recap.

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
