A massive WELL DONE to Staurt Inwood smashing his own records this weekend at Bathurst, running in the esses and mountain straight (25.26 and 46.23). Well done man, that is a huge effort. I think Stuart also managed 4th outright which is insane considering the open wheeler classes (which were amazing to watch also).

Now that i have run the event myself i can appreciate how difficult it is, on cold tyres and brakes no less. I have a lot to learn but can't wait to get back there for another shot. In some ways it's much more difficult than regular circuit racing i reckon.

Any footage Stuart?

Was also nice to catch up with a few of the supersprinters this weekend too :)

Great event well organised too. I had a ball. Great weekend.

yeh footage please, keen to do one of these.

Thanks Duncan - big congrats to you too, good to see you enjoyed - Well done - as an unregistered championship competitor, the class you ran Esses Hillclimb you detroyed the record by 3.58 seconds with a 28.66 and mountain straight also destroying the previous record by 5.19 seconds with a 50.42. As a first timer at Bathurst these results are outstanding. It is said hillclimbing is a good starting point for motorsport - this is true and yes there is a lot of waiting, but it is surprising how buggered you can be at the end of a good days competition.

I also beleive this is an excellent way to progress your car feel. As you say, cold tyres and brakes can be interesting, (especially with all that concrete) but I beleive this has good preparation for any level in motorsport.

Hope all enjoyed!!

Here's some footage of my record runs. Go the Datto's

Esses

Mountain Straight

PS my new records for Esses and Mountain Straight are both - FASTEST TINTOP of any type or class, EVER thanks for being there helping me to have a go :) One day will have a go on slicks see what we can do!!

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
