got any more info on the left-hand-drive conversion? That looks so clean, it almost looks factory. All the others I've seen look butchered.

Wah, a first for me.

But it sure does play with mind.

For the LHD conversion (excluding the mechanical) - I'm guessing it's a

-> "cut-and-shot" and a leather/vinyl re-trim.

or

-> they may have got the whole lot and made up a reverse mould and remade the whole lot (dash and center console) - remember this is China - possibly the over could own some sort of pastics factory......

or

-> Middle East spec Nissan Bluebird dash.... (I've read about this - but not sure)

Quite interesting. But if you have a look around on youtube and google - I've seen a few left hand drive GT-Rs in the Philippines.

Some pic from where i come from~ :P

Bahahah Holy SHIT man that is a Hong Kong registered car with a China Cross-Boarder license plate....that PLATE costs more then the ENTIRE car!!!!! (FYI: a china cross-boarder license plate is 1 MILLION HK = ~140,000AUD)

Then again Hong Kong has 100% TAX on cars so maybe not lol

lol has to be a cut and plastic-welded then retrimmed... cos it doesn't have the signature bubble on the dash where the glue gives.

I think it's just that, and the handbrake being on the other side, with a perfectly adapted centre console that makes it look so clean.

The UAE and Filo LHD swaps just look half arsed compared to this.

i was going to say it was just a mirror image picture of a normal rhd, then saw the key barrel on the rhs of the steering wheel... very very neat

Yeh.

Slightly off topic - this is one of the better Filo ones -> http://forums.evolutionm.net/other-cars/19...-vspec-nur.html

Haha lots of money in the smuggling business :) hahah yea but they actually are, I didn't know until my parents told me

i remmeber speaking to one of my old mans work colleages and he paid over 10million (1.3million aud) for a 2 digit number plate... he wanted to be in the top 20 elite list :D as most of the other owners of single and dual digit numbers are dignitaries or celebs. Status or perceived status is very important over there... hence the huge numbers of merc and BMWs

the number plate trade over there is big business it is around 33-40million (4.4 million aud) a MONTH.

On a different note I sure miss living there, one of the best places on earth.

Haha no Asians have a big gambling problem when Macau turned into the new vegas there was reports of mothers leaving their <10 yr old children to go gamble for a few days. Police had to get involved and break into the house. One case was where a 12yr old girl was left with some money and her mother went to gamble and people only found out when the teachers found out at the school she goes too. An the worst one I've ever read about is that a lot of houses in HK have 2 doors a main door and a large metal sliding security gate one parent actually locked her child IN BETWEEN the two to go to Macau for the day. Seriously this world is messed

off topic - but wow - that is just f*cked - it is like locking a kid between the screen door and the main door.... :D

    • lol the 2nd one boss, thank you for pointing this out. I feel as i spend more time here this intro message is some thing i will always make me laugh and shake my head at. Perfect Intro:  I have the vehicle
    • R34DE as in R34 with an RB25DE? So did you get this? Or you planning to?  I'm not really sure what you're saying.
    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
