I have a digital autowatch alarm on my car and apparently you can hook up all sorts of crap to it....

i have a spare button and i want to hook up an engine start onto it and on the other button which currently locks the doors and arms the alarm...i want it to put the windows up at the same time...

apparently this can all happen....but who do i get to do it??

or is it fairly simple...and i can do it myself....anyone else had this done?

by the way i know the start feature is illegal, but as i only drive on closed circuit roads and race tracks then it doesnt matter :P

yeah fane, i know a guy who installs autowatch systems and he can wire up all the above that you mentioned. and more.

only downside he is in wangara. but WELL worth a nice 40 min drive to do it i rekon. Im not sure if u could do it yourself. i think its a lil more complex. but yeah he can make it so when alarm is activated the windows will go up. he can make it so when you start the car by remote it will put windows down etc. (if i remember right...)

but yeah.

pretty fancy stuff he can do with it... (he has his autowatch in his car hooked up to a mobile phone, so he can call his car and arm it over the phone, he has done many mad things with his alarm system.)

bad news, but apparently you can only get the start feature on an auto car. :)

i still want the windows to go up when i lock it tho i'll have to take it up and show the guy....i think autoworx put in the alarm i'll give them a ring aswell and ill give you an update cam... :P if anyone knows of anyone with the start feature on a manual let me know :)

thats what i thought... but he said nah you cant do it on a manual...and i said ohhh ok crap and he goes ohhh well we will have a look at it.... if it wasnt all the way in wangara it would be different...

i'll be able to find someone that will able to do it for me surely... :P

Woohoo! sucked in Manual boys :P sorry been waiting for something cool you can do with an auto car you cant do with a manual!

and they said the window lift hook up is $125, and he wont hook up the remote start because its illegal anyone know of any other places that may do it?

but at least i know where i can get the window lift hooked up... :P awesome!!

I saw a place called "Downunder Mufflers" on the corner of Scarb Bch Rd and Loftus St that has an Autowatch dealer sign out the front. These guys used to do a heap of compliancing work and specialise in imported cars apparently.

I was gonna take my Autowatch to em coz my central locking has never worked since I picked the car up and I never whinged at the time... silly me.

We at Action Alarms situated in Osborne Park are Autowatch dealers and can do the power window lift for you. $125 for the job is a very good price too, so I wouldn't want to better it.

Remote start is possible, but illegal! Is your car road registered? If not we might have a look at it.

Operating the alarm by mobile phone and or being called by your car if the system is triggered etc is also possible but not cheap. The pager option is a bit more affordable, but not as cool.

    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
