do u have any idea on what the car would be priced in oz?

Northshore Prestige is the place that imports and complies the PM35, however they currently only have automatics in stock.

Have a look at their website, might be worth giving ben a buzz and just asking for a typical ballpark figure for the 2wd Manual version.

hmmm interesting....this AXIS 350S seems to have an AR-X front bar and standard grill.

That would be the least of your worries if you bought that car as who would comply it for you?

There is only 1 workshop with the evidence to comply this model and they are only complying vehicles they import.

Cheers

Andy

So this is a misleading advert then? I remember a while back there was then same sort of thing with the PM35's going on with an importer on this forum!

So am I right in saying that Northshore Prestige is the only shop handling the PM35 ATM?

"An" importer, aye? lol.

You are correct in saying that Northshore Prestige are the only place you can get PM35 at the moment.

I wrote a little comment to j-spec stating that as far as I was aware there was only one place that could compliance these and that they were only supposedly complying the cars they themselves import. This was there reply

Hi Stephen,

Yep that's absolutely correct unfortunately, they are only doing their own cars so they can mark up the prices massively and make a big profit. They've indicated they will make compliance available to other people later in the year (if someone else doesn't get compliance first).

Regards,

Ben Lippa

J-Spec Imports

So, if you brought this car and imported you could well be up the S#1T. Dangerous stuff really, anyway I just wanted to see what j-spec had to say about the situation.

and yet they are advertising them, including an estimate for compliance, and not a whisper on the site about the fact that they cannot organise compliance?

Thats just plain fricken rude!

And why shouldn't Northshore only comply cars for themselves? I don't see other companies putting their hands in their pockets to get testing done.

Sounds to me like J-spec bad-mouthing because they cannot free-load off Northshore's effort. :D

perhaps j-spec are just quoting how much it would cost by actually placing an order with Northshore...would make sense you would just say I want this car and they would turn around to Northshore and ask them to import it with them acting as a broker almost.

I see whta you are saying, but it wouldn't happen. The price quoted on the website is "landed and complied" through J-spec.

Nowhere does it "break down" the amount that Northshore would have to make in the equation.

Is this car eligible for import?

Yes, we have checked this car and it is a model eligible for import under the SEVS compliance laws.

We have also allowed $2800 for compliance, which is a reasonably typical compliance price available for this particular model.

Also, how would they know how much compliance is for a 3.5L M35?

Just as simple this time as it was last time - if you can't sell it, don't advertise it stating you can

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
