All those with radar detectors, throw them in the bin and buy and iphone... is this app still worthwhile?

Or buy the Laser sheild 2000 (ghost plate)

Just to reiterate, there wouldn't be a market for these if people just slowed down!

sydney by far has the worst roads compared to other capital cities in OZ (but i haven't been to darwin).

I thought Melb/Adelaid were best

canberra has the best roads but the worst drivers.........

anyone with an iphone can download trapster. its free and you can make an account. its got user added cameras/red light cameras etc as well as push notifications when there is a speed trap, rbt, fire, ice on road, accidents etc in your set area (works on radius). its pretty good and i usually report things when i see them and others do too, could be a license saver.

ontop of that the push notifications force you to check your speed - ive found myself checking my speed a lot more often since i downloaded this app. AND you're a lot more weary on days where the push notifications are going off more regularly.

I'm pretty sure Trapster is multi-platform too, so it can work on Blackberry, Nokias, Android-based phones, etc..

If you've got an iPhone, the location mapping isn't perfect, but if you close down Trapster, open the Maps App , lock in your location and then go back into Trapster, it's a lot better.

Does anyone agree with me on this one. I was driving my Friends DC5 Integra Type R the other time and I was coming from the city through ANZAC bridge some moron was really close from behind. I knew there was a safety camera up a head and the lights change orange I press the brake and the moron behinds hits me. I think the Government is a stupid to make safety camera in incidents like that this could be avoid I just had press the accelerator a little harder and I would of got through the light but because its a safety camera i decided to stop. Which was a bad idea either way.

I believe these f***en safety camera will cause a lot more accidents what do you think?

yeah but if it played out as you said it did, then it is the other drivers fault..... I agree safety cams are stupid and just another money spinner for a governemnt that is in debt, but if it creates a few more rear enders and less t-bones or head ons then isn't that worth the increase in rear enders? Especially if it came down to your turn and you were the guy involved in the t-bone?

The idea should reduce fatalities at notorious intersections, but really how many accidents happen at intersections in Sydney that were caused by speeding through a red light that were not involved in a high speed car chase or a stolen car? Safety cameras are a false sense of security as most traffic light incidents happen from stolen cars who don't care if they are running red lights over the speed limmit.

Safty spikes that deploy at speeding cars or red light runners would be better than a camera, but that is just my imagination lol.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
