Unfortunately I have to part company with my beloved V35. It needs a new home where it is going to be looked after the same way I have looked after it.

I called it Australianised because I have changed everything to....well, understandable English! Chris Rogers has had his hands in this car quite a bit, and his work is impeccable.

2003 V35, Silver, AT transmission, 66,000kms, Registration June 2010.

The car comes with the following:

• Drive by wire Cruise Control. Factory unit mounted on steering wheel. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• Garmin Navigation System running from factory screen. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• HITV Pure II Digital TV Tuner with 2 AV inputs running from factory screen. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• FM Band Expander. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• iPod Integration lead. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• Steering wheel radio controls. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• CCD Rear Camera running from factory screen. Discreet installation above number plate. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• Python alarm with pager. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• Drivers side door lock assembly changed. (Installed by Chris Rogers)

• Nissan TV bypass to watch TV and drive. Yet to be installed. Finally something not installed by Chris Rogers, lol.

• Trip computer language changed to English.

• SSR Visconti 19” wheels with big lips in staggered set up. 245/35/19 & 265/35/19 +25 & +18 respectively. (Stock 17" wheels also included)

• Motordyne ISO Thermal 5/16” Plenum Spacer. (Installed by the mechanic, hahaha sorry Chris)

• Tinted windows.

• Carbon Fibre rear diffuser.

• Eye lids.

• Carbon Fibre hood hampers.

• Carbon Fibre Z-Tube. (Stock tube also included)

• JWT Pop Charger. (Stock intake also included)

• Grounding kit (Not installed yet).

• Keyhole delete from Nissan. To cover the keyhole on driver’s door. (Not installed yet).

• Infinity aftermarket AT gear knob. (Not installed yet).

• Rear de-badged and Infinity badge installed on front grille.

• Lowered on Tein H-tech 350z linear springs.

• Clear side indicators.

• Replaced all 4 disk breaks for slotted disks with green pads earlier this year.

• All interior, courtesy and number plate lights changed to SMD LED lights.

I think I have mentioned everything, hahahaha. I might think of something else and will add it.

I am looking for $32,000 with everything, negotiable.

Millos, hate to break the bad news to you mate, but the economy is terrible (despite what some believe) and you are gonna have a hard time finding a buyer at the above $30k. Reasons:

1. Bank finance on imports is much harder, unless you cough up like 50% of purchase price or have another security on the loan (I am sure some in the forum would be able to clarify this in a lot more detail)

2. New car dealers will offer you a stupid price on a trade-in (It happened to me recently when I wanted to buy a new Accord Euro)

3. Your main buyer demographic are 'young' peeps = 'not as rich' and need to save up a long time to cough up the cash upfront...

If you are keen to sell, you'd probably want to reduce the price by 20 - 30%....Shoot me if you want, my friend - sometimes the truth hurts bro...

This is why I stopped selling mine and plan on running it to the ground, or until most V35s drop to the $10k mark - in which many 'teens' can the 'afford' a v35...

imo the reason why the vs are currently so cheap is because sellers are rushing to sell them. you should sell based on how much YOU think its worth and what your situation is. a wa member just sold an 03 auto coupe premium withj 72xxx kms for $33k with just 19 inch rims. i agree with the above also because it is the market but if every v owners starts selling at around the 30k mark it might just help raise the price slightly.

geez did my name get mentioned enough..

Chris you may want to start considering selling your name as a 'google adword' LOL

Millos, sorry to see it has to go, but yeah, price do come down to how fast you need it gone.

There are one or two very cheap ones locally but sellers could be motivated to sell due to e.g. needing to buy a property or already committed to one and needed extra cash, or yeah, relocating like yourself...

Probably put this in the general For Sale is better? As most people on the V forum may already own a V35 (except Stephen Thorpe LOL), and putting in the general FS section you may have potential buyers who wanted to upgrade their ride but haven't really jumped on this section much...

Being an 03 model, when people look for finance, that may cause issues.

If they were going for a secured loan, then the banks usually state that they have to be less than 5 years old.

Some banks, very few allow 7 years. and thats the longest that Ive seen.

People may prefer a secured loan because it doesnt have as strict of a application process as an unsecured loan and the interest is slightly better on secured anyway.

But if they have an other form of security, then that may change.

But it also comes down to who can drive it.

I don't know if its p plate legal in Vic, but if it isnt, then that really restricts your market.

If your not in a rush, Id say hold it at that price, because fook me ITS A STEAL!

Any ways, just thought id add that because I had a fair number of issues with the banks.

Also, when someone picks it up, if they say the banks says that its over priced, just say well its insured for x and thats what its worth.

Banks are usually happy with that.

Pricks just want their cash. Grr.

Anyways good luck with the sale.

Hope it goes well.

I would say for that level of mods, 30k sounds about right. Yes there are a few V35 going for really cheap on carsales, saw one going for 20k but a mate went to check it and it was a lemon. I myself wouldn't mind paying a little bit more for a properly good condition car. I am sure many people are. Good luck with the sales.

Yes I agree, the only reason I'm selling my coupe at a cheaper price is that I'm trading in on new car, other wise it would be in the early 30's! Just trying to get a few more $ above trade in price that's all, just one week to go and then its 'Gorrrnnne'. GT350

Hey guys, appreciate your replies, I understand that it is not easy to sell a car nowadays, but there is no reason to give it away. I think reducing the price by 20% ($6,400) to 30% ($9,000) is just ridiculous though. That will put is in line with the V35's on carsales that are stock standard and claim to have done only 20,000kms for a 6-7 year old car. If you really believe that, you are crazy.

I will put it on the general for sale section, that is a good idea, as you said, the people on this part of the forum, most have their V35 - V36 already

I will also drop the price, but not by 30%.....for sale now at $30,000

if you do have stock rims perhaps sell the 19" separately... you might end up on top, or if not it'll move faster...

things like tv canceller cable, gearknob, rims, z-tube etc anything that you have stock parts to bolt it back in can be sold separately...

confused....when I see an ad for a car with low klms, it says 'why buy a car with high klms that's been trashed'.....and when I see one with higher klms, it says 'don't ever believe the odometer'.

methinks the best tactic is simply to assess based on price relative to observed condition (mileage, speculation, promises, caveats aside)?

but definitely a nice looking set of wheels....

You're right Specul8or,

The best thing to do is to check the car and see if what is written about it is what the car really is.

    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
    • I assume clearances were all a-okay?
