Well I left my number at Boostworx waiting for them to call them back, but I think they forgot... Might give it another try next week. (I won't have my turbos soon anyways, probably 2 weeks away)

When I'm getting the turbos put in, is there any other fittings/bits & peices that I would need? perhaps the turbo gaskets? ($275 from Just Jap)

Also I dropped by AM Performance today and had a good chat to Andrew, hopefully getting him to put on a full exhaust system for me (dump, front pipe, cat, catback)

Saw Heslos car under covers getting some work done. Looks mint, would sound mean with the new exhaust for sure!

Cheers mate, not getting any exhaust work done, Andrew took care of that long ago. I took it there to use his hoist to rip the head off for a port/polish. Should get it back mid next week, looking forward to it. You can't go wrong with Andrews work mate, simply awesome stuff!

you would need a bucket load of coolant as well mate.....and gaskets for sure.....also copper washers would be good investment and braided lines if its not coming with the turbo

+1 to getting the AM treatment....he does awesome work for the price you pay.....and has awesome customer service as well

fingers crossed it doesn't but ill let you guys know on how it all goes tomorrow night (hopefully).

did anybody know that there were two types of nistune? and one cant be edited or something like that.

according to jaustech they cant remap jeff's nistune.

can anyone explain this for me. i would have thought he'd tell me that his was a different tune

I can't see how you're gonna get a turbo install for $350. Esp in a GTR. Are you changing any gaskets? Any copper washers? Any studs? If not, poor choice, you'll probably have to take it all off again when you realise you have an exhaust leak or snapped stud

not a gtr unfortunately, i just hacked the other guys thread haha.

the guy said inc all that stuff, guess ill find out tomoz, ill replace nething that needs replacing, the old turbo was working fine and holding boost nicely though

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
