Bit of a bugger for peeps with new cars. I think JAFFA is giving the drag opportunity a miss for this reason.

I reckon the day cruise through the victor hills would be a rocker :(

Still... a track day would be damn cool! :D

GFXman

GFXman and JAFFA, the hole point to having a private track day to ourselfs is just that. "Private"

you dont have to worry about anyone from Holden taking down

your VIN number and then voiding warranty.

so please consider ;)

MATTRESS-I think someone quicker than me should do the tea and scones thing so when we drag they will have time to have it all ready before i get to the end.

hey count me in anyway.

For something different can we have a "who can do the 1/4 in reverse the quickest" or "who can do the most drifts in a 1/4" or "who can do the longest burnout down the 1/4"

If you do i will make the tea and scones for ya:lol:

 Matt, with the track all to ourselves you can even hold a scone eating contest! :)

John,

Thanks for your input with this track day mate, much appreciated! :uh-huh:

I would go a crew but prob not take my car and race. reason being need good drag tyres or its up in smoke for me and dodging walls is not fun in my car. considering i know it does 12s with good tyres and prob 13 without ide rather wait for getting good tyres, eg M@H drag tyres. Either way ide come anlong to help u guys out in any way i could with advice mechanical tips etc. Even John needs tips every now and then cough "SOFT KAWK" hehe Munro. :]

Again .... you know you can count me in .... I would rather do pure 1/4 mile runs with printouts .... full track racing there's too many opportunities do drive a tad beyond my driving abilities and put it into a wall :D

Either way I'll still be there though :)

The first street meet will be happening on the 6th Oct. For information you can ring the raceway directly but alas i dont have the number in front of me.

Oh watch out for a green HB tory with a small block in it, i will be crewing for that car :)

Lee

Yeah I've got that number - 82808154 Not sure if it's manned during normal business hrs or not though?

Here's the offical AIR site AFAIK - http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/8034/

2nd November is the next street meet which is the same weekend as the Extreme Horsepower show weekend

so I for one cant make it and Dec is a long way off.

I think if we can hire out the track then lets do it set a date up and I'm sure we can get the ppl.

what do you all think?

Henry,

I'm still dead keen! We need to contact AIR & find out what they require from us to book us in? Then we can select a date that suits the majority.

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
