Cheers for the comments all. Must thank Jarrod (R32big_boy) for the above photos, they came out fantastic, similar to something you'd see on a car brochure!!

Bonnet was bought from Unique Autosports about 5 years ago and soon after became obsolete. It wasn't too bad to fit but spent quite a few more bucks to get it to look the way it is now...

Here's a few more still pics...

Anyway, enough of bragging, put up a pic of your car NickR33, I remember it when ph1 had that car when I first joined the forums (8 years ago), it was the best R33 GT-R around at the time.... It still looks just as good as the day he had it....

There is something just right about the look of a silver gtr with black wheels.

Jack your car is by far the best looking r33 ive seen to date, nice one.

I think the red r34 in the avatar might be the MCR car from japan also.

Makes me feel not that bad after spending a squillion $$ on the damn thing!!!!

Pity I've only done about 500km's in it in the last 2 years.....

While I'm at it here's a few vids of it in action...

Chasing down Snowman and Aaron34 at Sandown -

Oooopsie...

And having some fun at Calder with some Ferraris..

Haven't been on the track for over 2 years now, them were the days!!!!

Too much bragging, seems like this thread has now become my build thread....

Can't comment enough on your R33 Jack - Immaculate! You've set the bar and given me inspiration with mine.

Here's a couple of recent shots of mine after 6 weeks of ownership after purchasing it completely STOCK:

Nowhere near the effort of yours yet, but I'm getting there :D

Keep em coming!

Nice work!!! At least yours is a genuine series 3!!!!

Looks neat mate, clean and simple....

Some very nice shots aswell, especially the first pic, heaps of lighting considering it's late at night....

Thanks mate - Coming from you means a lot! Less is more with these cars for sure. :D

We got a great spot for shots at the docks - There was some good spotlighting around and managed to get just the right amount of exposure. The second one is a bit OTT, but still looks ok haha.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
