Hey,

first off I don't want to hear the flaming. I am on good driving behaviour atm and get my full opens back on 12th August. On Monday the 5th of this month I got done for 33km over and that is 6 points.

I work 48km from home and there is no public transport in mackay so I have no way but to drive to work.

Has anyone ever asked the court if they can get have their lisence back and plea remorse?

Thanks

I dont like your chances dude, unfortunately they will just use the "shouldda thought of that before you drove like that" excuse. Take lube to court. Lots of lube. Double your orignal punishmet and that's when you'll get your license back, then add the fine for the 33km/h over...

Good luck dude.

P.S. Been in this situaion before with a 3 month suspension, there's no way around it.

+1 for taking the lube to court. you're probably going to get fisted by the long arm of the law.

if you get a nice judge you may possibly scrape out of it with a work licence (allowing you to only driving between certain hours), but i find it highly unlikely.

my suggestion, look for accomodation close to work

Apply for a SHO (Special Hardship Order). You will have write an affadavit and get one from your boss explaining your situation and why losing your license would cause a hardship.

It is considered hardship if losing your license means you are unable to keep your job etc. I got one when I got done on my good behaviour period because I had to drive 1.5 hours to work and an hour to uni on some days. No public transport out where I was living at the time.

You won't be able to drive any other time other than that specified on your SHO and you need to keep it in the car at all times.

Good Luck.

thankyou. Did it last just for the suspension time? How did you apply for that?

6 months for a SHO call up QLD transport and ask them about it or go in to ur local transport/government place and get the forms and talk to them about it. You will have to go to court to get it all approved etc.

Might be stupid question, but how does anyone tell that you are driving on one of these SHOs? And how can they know if you are driving within the conditions of the SHO so they know whether or not to pull you over to check?

Too many people keep getting caught and being charged with "driving while disqualified". SHO seems to half defeat the purpose of being punished for breaking the law.

Solution would be to find someone willing to play chauffeur for the period of your disqualification. Or move closer to public transport.

probably shows up in the police database when they run a rego check on the car. my grandparents got pulled over because the car was registered in my grandfathers name and he no longer has a valid licence (handed his licence in a few years ago due to developing a condition that eventually sends you blind). the police pulled them over to do a licence check and they explained it. funny story though, just as the police officer starts to walk back to the car my grandfather says in a loud voice to my grandmother "good thing they didn't get you blow in the bag". the officer did a quick turn and walked back to the window.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
