If think its going to be a lot more work than you think and how are u going to cough up the 20k for the track.

Easier for you to just book all your mates into a track day.

People have no idea the work the behind the scenes guys do for free. I'm not one but am mates with most of the SAU Motorsport commitee. Even the fact you didn't get the Medics answer says your in over your head.

Plus I wouldn't imagine you'll get away with doing skids there. Its an International circuit.

and he didnt understand the CAM affiliation.

may i suggest paintball in the bush ?

if i wanted to go paintballing then i would have buddy.

+1

f**k u lil sam lol

why dont you get winton? :woot:

been there so many times man, always wanted to go a round on the island u know/

in any case, make sure you let us know where and when :woot:

will do mate

Maybe instead of trying to book it out yourself, find a drive day at PI and book out most of the spots. You will probably get a discount for doing so and it will mean you don't have to bother with all the work and all the $$$

Otherwise if you have 20k then go for it :woot:

hi charlie

ill keep that in mind its a very good idea

thanks

Don't know if you've worked out the full cost yet. PI would be good as there is a lack of laps with 100 cars or so at a track day.

If it is looking too expensive/hard. For a stag do in the UK, did x-road dirt buggy which was a great laugh with mates so how about Extreme Drive in V8 Race Buggies http://www.redballoon.com.au/experience/OFR251. Not been to this one but worth a thought if PI doesn't work out.

i wanna drive my car and my friends wanna drive their own cars simple as that.

ive got a big 4wd anyways if i need to go offroad, but its really not mu thing.

$150 CAMS licence (for a year, buy now and you get the full finantial year)

$60 for a club membership (like PIARCS)

$150 for a track familirisation day.

after you pay your CAMS and membership the next time you want to go is only the day fee ($150).

Do it!

All these people driving around in fast cars on the street is a joke.

I though I had half an idea how to drive but quickly found my date pucker as though someone had a red hot poker touching me inappropriatly when the ass of my Subie stepped sideways at the end of the straight.! Turn one will change your life!

You should get 5-6 20 minute sessions which is more thn enough.

You will be put in a group to match your speed. Everything from old Corollas and Hondas to new GT2/3 are there so dont be affraid. I fit right in with my stock 92 RS liberty with 360,000 on the clock that I drive daily and cost me $3500.

At the end of the day I was lapping at 2min 9sec as opposed to (Im guessing 2.20 at the start of the day)

Instructors (race drivers that know how to drive) there that are happy to hop in as passanger or drive your car to show you the lines (no they wont flog your car).

Best $300 I ever spent in my motoring carear.

Hi Mate i just spoke to work collegue who works on the Phillip island race track and he mentioned that all the info you need is on http://www.piarc.com.au/?page=contacts

The price depends on the day of the week you choose

Form to fill out and send in

Get the rest on the day (Cams licence and club licence) I dont know if SUA club is a CAMS affiliated or what ever it has to be you might not need to join there club ($60 isnt going to kill you).

    • Haha no I'll do that one tomorrow. I've been ignoring it. It's the 5.0 one I'm taking about. (There is a little X to hide the 4.7 one if you want)
    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
