Hey,

We are in the process of gathering ideas on what is missing in the auto performance industry in relation to adapters/flanges!

If you have required an adapter that you couldn't find let us know.

This may relate to adapters for BOV's or anything else you may think off...

All feedback will be greatly appreciated... and if possible include images :thumbsup:

just had to make my own adaptor to go from 90mm to 120mm v-band to v-band, don't know if anyone currently makes these.. garrett told me it would be a custom item.....

Nah and its on the car now...

we just took the 90mm v-band take off that comes with the turbo and a disc cut at 120mm diameter with 90mm hole in the middle, with the appropriate angle around the outside for the v-band and welded them together...

so we v-band the back of the turbo to the 90mm flange which steps up to 120mm and v-bands to the 120mm dump.. all within the space of about 30mm

hope this make sense, I'll see if I can get a picture of it on the car

Sorry mate, I couldnt link you to another product for obvious reasons.

What I am refering to is merely a fuel rail that will fit an R33 RB25DET motor using top feed injectors from a R32 GTR (for example).

What you would hope to acheive is a product that fits with minimal modification and comes with all parts necessary to install the set injector (bar the injectors themselves).

This would mean the rail would require the fittings for the fuel lines, and come with new o-rings where required along with mounting hardware.

The MAIN requirement is that the set will fit the motor with its factory intake inplace, there ARE products such as these on the market at present yet generally they do not fit with the factory intake in place.

We actually offer an RB25DET fuel rail with a top feed injectors set-up but again it's for the GReddy plenum only - we will look into it though.

Making up an adapter plate for rb26 intake plenum to be used on rb25, I think blitz make one but they are rare

Already made. Shane made them ages ago. We are about to run off some on the mill for our own race car...

off topic, how about a full bolt-in oil cooler kit with thermostat, all the correct brackets/bolts/hoses cut to length, hose mounting points, plastic conduit for the braided lines so it won't rub against things and a price that's reasonable.

We do stock an oil cooler w/ filter relocation kit, but yes it does not come with a thermostat and a lot of customers do seem to want one.

Indeed you do, make that fit the stock manifold and at that price they will sell like hotcakes.

Another item I would like to see available is an exhaust side spacer plate that is reversible to switch between RB25 and RB26 bolt patterns.

the concept is simple, an bolt through the plate replaces the original studs in the end exhaust ports that are different, and a stud presses in from the opposite side to accept the alternate bolt pattern.

By reversible I refer to both sets of bolt holts being able to accept a stud or bolt from both sides to make it easily reversed for the opposite application. Longer studs for the middle 4 cylinders will be needed to be supplied with the kit.

This could see people converting to RB26 setups from their failing 20 or 25s without having to replace expensive manifolds, or could see more twin turbo setups floating around too.

Yes that is true, but it's not a full bolt in solution, the end-user/buyer needs to fabricate their own brackets, cut and shut the oil lines to length, etc..

What about an adapter to bolt RB25 GRreddy plenums to RB20 heads?

Some great ideas... now we just need to find a good fabricator to get things rolling with a sample product.

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi 
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
