Store your 26 block away wrapped in plastic and WD40 and go a 26/30, Your GTR has lots of room out back for some good sized rubber.

31 is I believe a rebore of 1mm extra which is the max you can take out of the stock block. Correct me if I'm wrong..

nope, re-sleeved 26 block with open deck spacer plate (sleeves stick out above the top of the block) with an rb30 crank and sr20 rods (i think)

OR, get a RB30 block for $100 and rebuild that, why pay lots when you can get the same for less, lots of 26/30 around to show you how much is to be had for so little.

The Japs need spacers and stuff because they didnt get the RB30, suckers.

OS Giken 3.0 litre kit for around the $20K mark. But there are bigger kits than this..........Spool was looking at a 3.2 and a 3.4 kit.

I was reading about it in the latest RB26 Tuning World mook and it sounds like it's quite the beast. But then again, at that price range in better be :(

I've seen a 34R with an OSG 3.0 and sequential behind it..oine of the GTR UK guys had one. Awsome bit of kit. RB30 is ceaper way to go, RB28s (HKS, Tomei stroker etc) are a very expensive option in comparison.

Yes, I still want to build one though

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
