Not many yards are gonna hold older imports these days.

Autoworx in Wangara used to bring in a small handful of cars, not sure about these days after moving location.

Fabcar is another option, but as I said don't really have older imports.

For an S13/4, Perth based forums like silviawa and driftwa are going to be your best options.

yeah he's looking through carsales at the moment

At the moment in our circle of friends we have a stag, an r33, a hachi and an s2k, he's feeling a bit left out in an EG civic :P

Do imports101 have a yard in Perth?

tell your friend to look at my cefiro.

let me know what he thinks

bear in mind - it may no longer be for sale but if he's interested then have a chat to me and if i like him then we'll take it from there.

clicky click

ps - eff word car yards.. esp for an S13 or 180sx i would not trust an old car coming from a dealer. (thats my opinion)

EDIT: the pics in that ad of my cefiro are alightly different to now - last weekend i got one of those super rare chrome grills that everyone faps over. and i just bought gen. nissan super slimline weathershields. again - this car is semi-withdrawn from sale as i just can't let it go but if your guy wants it and i like him and i think his heart is in the right place then he can have it.

don't be deterred bythe RB20. this is the most responsive, ballsy RB i've ever driven.

but if he IS dead set on S13 chassis, please make sure he gets a late model one, there's no point buying an OLD trim of an OLD model... get me?

if that cefiro is out of his budget then we also have a GGS Z30 Soarer TT for sale which is so blisteringly fast we had to install ceramic coating on the front of the car to stop the atmosphere from crapping itself. which is for sale.

thanks eps, I think he wants an sr20 but Im an rb fan so I could talk him into it. Hot Cefiro, but it'd need to be a manual I think.

Just trying to plan the weekend heavily so he can look at lots of stuff

just sayin - RB20DE+T will CANE an SR.

seriously - you have no idea how hard this thing hammers :)

and - the autobox is absolutely awesome...

as i said i really dont care if he's not interested. i really do still love this car :) but if he's interested i'll be happy to negotiate! manual gearbox is always doable. and an easy swap.

but yeah - all advice i have is - don't write off the RB until he's driven mine...

..and don't write off autos until he's driven mine. ;)

the setup is REALLY good on it!

My auto is better :)

+11TY For Distinctive Imports. Dunno if he will have anything that old, but go chat to Regan anyway. He may be able to hook you up with a trade in or something.

There are no decent car yards in Perth. Fabcar is where I bought two stageas and got fully ripped off at the time. Although they dont bring anything in below grade 4.5. Regan is a good bloke, but I doubt he will deal with any silvia / 180sx. They usually stock clean V35, GTTs, elgrand, delicas, civics etc. And will not trade anything that is highly modified. I tried with my GTiR and nearly bought Jnr's stagea a while back, but I turned it down. I also have not seen a clean silvia at a yard in quite some time unless it was a S15 or varietta.

Danny, a broker at Imports 101 is where I imported my s13 (one of the first in Perth) and a RA GTiR. Importing is the way to go if you want something specific and dont mind waiting. Friendly, informative and decent after sales service, i highly recommend. Personally I would buy private because it is a buyer's market atm and silvias are dirt cheap anyways. Also consider buying interstate for the best prices. Either freight or drive back.

^^^absolutely correct

i agree with DCI being my personal pick as far as dealers go... as well as imports101

BUT

silvias are a VERY old car now. no way in HELL would i be buying from a dealer.

(reason being - the km are most definitely wound back, they buy cheap gnarly shit from auctions, and inflate the price to match private sales of honestly good cars!

either way - private sales are the place to go for such old cars..

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
