To be honest I think A pod is a bit of waste of time on the small scale of things... Wont increase performance or economy vastly. If you do go down that road... Please god, don't spend $300 on one... You get such a minor difference if any!

a $20 supercheap 3A pod filter actually flows better then most of the good name brand ones do.....meh a cheap $20 one for me does the job

Dont be soft. Treat em mean, keep them keen!

doesnt sound like you Vu....mel you slap you :P

They try and rip you with the proformance crap. Oi Krish, come down to Dotti's after and help me put her new seats in.

I think a free flowing exhaust and cleaner intake system will help with fuel economy.

FYI: I was getting about 500k's to a full tank in my 270rwkw GT-R with a good 2nd gear burst from time to time

I'd be lucky to see half that in the 32, although i don't putt around on a daily basis. Stagea will see about 500km if i can keep my right foot under control, always seem to have trouble doing that though :P

I to have trouble with that darn right foot. I couldn't control it even if i tried.

Filled up my GTT to full the other day and down to half today and only reads 118km so far...

i am growing my knowladge about the skyline's day by day.I spend heaps of times on this website and every time i am learning new thing's..

To be honest last week when police(under cover cop's) stopped me,that was my first encounter with the police :( but thats fun to have a skyline,isn't...

That is pretty bad! My old R33 when I filled it to the brim I got nearly that much as the needle just moved down to the upper full mark on the fuel guage.

Ben: Mel is a real lady and will use an open hander not closed fist :(

Mine is the same. Usually get 480-540Km's per full tank, although it might be time to look at replacing the oxygen sensor

installing a pod is easy as mate.....get a 3A pod filter from supercheap and a adapter to suit your car....you can find one there....take out your air box and just bolt the adapter in, slam the pod on top and presto you has a pod filter :) drive down to your exhaust place and get them to make 2 brackets to secure your pod filter.....for intercooler you can get one of the ISC (sau:sa club sponsor) and apparently people who are using them have been quite happy with them.....for exhausts it all depends on how much you wanna be paying for it....but i would suggest getting one made by AM Performance (sau:sa club sponsor) his work is perfection....and customer service is even better....a few of the boys here have been running his blast pipe system (including me) and i am happy as larry......

ps: club sponsors give sau:sa members 10% discount.....so in case of getting a 1k+ exhaust you will end up saving a bit :P

hey mate could please send me the address of ISC for FMIC...

Hey Nozila or other guys, could you please give me some idea how much its cost to change "UPPER CONTROL ARM BUSH'S"....or if it is possible for you guys to give me some help to change them....thnx

i've got a 32 GTR and i had over 600kms which was steady country driving, and it was almost empty, 69L went into a 72L tank.

normal driving i used to get 500kms regularly when i had 250rwkw, and i still get that know with over 300rwkw it just depends on my driving. if i go flat chat through the hills then ecconomy goes out the tail pipe as well as the flames!

even with heavy foot driving i still get about 350ish kms to a tank.

ah sorry dude i just saw this....but i was busy anyway :).....as if you know Dotti lol

Regency-friendly adjustable bushing kits are about $230... there was no way in hell I could get the old bushing off so I took it to Pedders down the road and got them to remove it for $10(should of been $20 but they didnt have the right change from my $50 note) and then I took the control arms home and fitted up the bushings myself - wasnt too hard.

hey guys my headlights got water in them,i dont know what to do..heavy rain in last couple of days..makes hell in my cars headlight...wat to do now please help..anyone know any workshop who can seal them properly...

    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
