can't remember if it was someone on here or the uk gtr forum that was doing it but they did their own r&d on an rb30 sump adapter/4wd conversion plate, and i think they have a few made up. if i find it i'll post up a link. btw, i have an r32 gts4 as well. same colour as yours i take it from your pic. its in pretty good nick except for the paintwork cause the clear is lifting from the top edges of most of the bodywork and making its way down lol. just out of curiosity do you, or anyone else reading this thread, know what sort of paint the original paint is? i.e 2pac or acrylic etc?

yes that is mine. same problems with paint. it has been left outside most of its life I figure. most iof the small inside plastics are rotted and the rubbers are perished as well.

since youare in brissy I would not mind a chat. I think I know the person that you are talking about regarding the 4wd adapter plate.

yep and thats where I'm going to start. engine I can source the bits myself, assembly - I share the building with an alfa / nissan mechanic -between the two of us we can screw it together.

the only hanging block is this plate to bolt the sump onto.

Great that your going for "the ultimate" rb block. You sound tenacious enough to sort this out.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
