What Do You Guys Think A R32 Gtr Approx Worth Is With These Mods?

Thats another reason that I brought this topic up on this forum, as I can make up my mind without really going through things, and that has been the best aspect of this thread for me. There has been some great points made by you guys and I appreciate you all keeping me honest

At the end of the day, its an 1989 GTR and will always be tough to resell in the future for a price that I perceive its worth, but this one will probably be in my garage for a while

N1 motor is a good buy however I would take a built motor with oil control taken care of over a N1 any day... Glaze call Chris at racepace and see if he has any customers with 32 GTRs who might want to sell, I reckon you can do better than that personally... its a good buy but not at 35K

just for perspective, I would consider selling my 33 GTR for 35K if someone approached me with cash in hand

my R has fully built motor by racepace with all their secret squirrel oil control mods etc, including all Tomei gear in the head for big cams etc etc

Trust twin turbo kit, inc FMIC, radiator and oil cooler etc etc...

18" by 10" BBS LM wheels, upgraded Harrop brakes, racepace spec rebuilt Teins, etc etc

makes 360kw at the wheels

and a bunch of other parts that I won't bother to list... its also factory original paint in absolutely perfect condition (has spent its whole life indoors) and is super straight

so... much more to be had for 35K IMHO

NickR33, the thing is I am looking to possibly trade my E36 M3 with this vechile, so I will not be handing over any cash for this vechile.

Hopefully you have a hankering for a neat M3 and would look into trading as well:)

I will def look into Oil mods for this car if it ends up in my garage.

the oil control mods I'm referring to are mostly carried out in the block when building the engine so really are an engine out job

E36 M3 are a great car but I'm not ready to let the R go yet:)

although at times I really get a hankering for a bit of RWD action!

Yeh the M3 is actully a beautiful car and to be honest, this GTR will have to be AMAZING in the flesh for me to consider a trade, but we will find out Saturday morning

iv seen this car for sale for a while now, i remember it was 32000 not long ago and seeing a price rise out of it.

the good thing about the price rise is you know that the owner knows what he is selling, fo i think its worth 35??? not really.

maybbe 29000 and i would have a real think about it, maybe even 30000 if it is as beautiful in the flesh as it seems to be.

the gun grey on the rear struts has to go, but the enginebay could look goot seeing as it will be mickey mouse.

and personally, i would probably take a mickey mouse wine red gtr over a gun metal grey one.

on the subject though, find out if that 2.8ltr r32 gtr that someone on here was talking about is still for sale, that spec list is insane

Glaze the general consensus is the car is worth maybe mid 20's, I would balk at that given the multi coloured paint job and the N1 engine when there are fully built forged examples of 32 gtr's available for the same sort of money

Surely one of the many for sale on here and in other for sale outlets is up to standard.

I know you say you are keeping it long term but the resale value of that car in a few years will be very poor indeed because of the above mentioned issues.

If this is your dream car then go for it but dont expect too many on here to agree that it's a good buy at that price because it simply isnt.

M.C Ren, I also dont mind the white engine bay, kinda looks super clean. Im thinking as well of Tint, 18" Black wheels and the wine red GTR will look pretty fierce

The 28ltr sure does have a great spec sheet, but prob no good as I am looking to trade my M3 for the R32, but we will see on the weekend!

Deano1, sounds like you got a great deal with the Nismo GTR. Not sure if you know the cost of an R33 N1 engine and R34 N1 Turbos, but they dont come cheap. Let alone brand new VSpec11 Brembo brakes.

I know the price is high, but I think you guys are actually underestimating the parts used.

Here are a few pics to have a look at.

dude i no the costs of all these items, and they still dont add up to anywhere what his asking for this car, you can get a set of r34 brembo brakes which shit all over the the 32-33 ones, for 3.5k fully rebuilt with new pads and rotors, the N1 r33 engine.... why would you bother when u can build a fully forgie bottem end for same price if not cheaper... and r34 gtr N1 turbos you can get brand new for 2.5k they are just a -7 or -9 one or the other.

So really the parts used are not rare or a really big deal..... Sorry to be blunt man

34 Brembos are exactly the same as 33 Brembos... just a different colour... I had them on my old GTSt... nice brakes but there are better options for pulling up a GTR

a price is pretty moot here anyway as he's planning on swapping for his M3... I say if you like it go for it, its a nicely put together 32R and I'm sure it will be significantly quicker than the M3;)

Yeh I hear what your saying Deano1. I know if I was in a position to build a GTR I would spend the $15K on building at opposed to buying an N1 engine for $15K, but thats not an option here.

No blunting dude, all good!! I know I am not getting into an amazingly awesome rare GTR, I have already owned one of those, but this thing looks clean and extremely well looked after, so we will see.

Obv, if there is a sweet GTR looking to trade with an M3, I am happy to look at options

Sorry FineLine, I didnt see your response. Yeh I understand and I know resale value on any GTR is going to be tough in a few years, as you say, especially with a paint issues.

If I was to buy this var, I wouldnt offer more than $25K if I had the money, I am lucky to be in a position to trade my M3 that I paid a damn good price for, although it is a great car, I wont know until I drive the GTR if I actually want to trade.

I spent a few hours with this car this morning up at Mt Macedon and was extremely impressed with its look and performance. Very solid car, as far as rattles or normal noise that comes from a 20yr old car, this car had next to none. Very very solid GTR in immaculate condition.

I have some thinking to do as I really enjoyed driving the M3 as well
