Its changed my opinion of Police, i see the nastiness, the unwarranted attitude they display and pretty well the HATE...., i am tending to agree that a lot of people with questionable psychological issues seem to end up in the Police Force.

Its also this mentality that police men and soldiers are hero's. Dont get me wrong, it is sad when a police man or a soldier dies in action but when you see front page cover's of newspapers decorating fallen cops and soldiers as hero's and shutting off the CBD for their funerals for 1 person it really shows how out of place Australians really are. They died in action... but when 100,000 people die in mudslides in a remote part of asia its luky to be posted in the news between the weather and the sports.

agree with both of you

Probably because ive had a bad experience. Cop did the same thing to me, tailgating me i hit my breaks he rear ends me. Loss of license for 3 months and i had to pay damages. When i requested the video to take him to court he said it wasnt recording. Cop sad i was driving recklessly for slamming my breaks for no apparent reason even though HE REAR ENDED ME. Now as above has mentioned im targeted even after changing my number plates a few times doesnt help.

Shouldnt have hit the brakes then

Maybe you should join the defence force or the police, you might then grow the f**k up and understand that the law is the law and they are doing thier job.

Such hatee

Not hate

I just don't like idiots

Edit - In the 3 years and 9 months of havng my very modified r33 i got pulled over for a "random" RBT/Vehicle check TWICE why? Because I drove like a normal person, and not like a dick head

I dislike cops being A-holes who think they are king shit. I think everyone shares this mentality. Yet you call me an idiot for having this view. Your probably some old fart who is cynical of everything and just hate for the sake of it.

I have no issue with police if they are doing there job as they should be.

They are like normal people and if you fail the attitude test then its going to be curtains. If you fail it with just one of them then your going to get it from them all.

27.... probably some drop kick who thinks he is being mature. He should maybe think of joining highway patrol, he'd fit right in.

im 25 lol,

and yeah heaps drop kick,

I dont think Im being mature, I just find it funny that everyone hates coppers for doing their job,

So who are you gonna call if your car gets stolen, or someone crashes into you and drives off....the police, but OHNOEZ, as soon as you get caught speeding they are the worst guys in the world.

Spoken like a true drop kick, sell your r33 you are not worthy. Go hold hands with the highway patrol, maybe you can be the operator of the mobile speed camera's.

LOL calm down a bit 'jawrgy'

anyways, in my 2 years of driving a r34 NA which has a kit and rims etc .. basically having cop attention mods.. i didn't have much trouble at all? A couple set up rbt's, a couple targeted rbt's to though. I live in the West and used to travel to Ryde and Cambelltown area all the time with no hassles =/

Then again those couple of RBT's i had were basically pulling me over to try and defect me :/

One proud incident-

cop: ''pop open your bonnet''

me: no problem *opens it up* everything's stock *with a big grin*

cop: where's your turbo??? it's illegal to be driving this..

me: ummm it's a non turbo.. i'm on my p's

cop: ohhh ok..

I'm in the same boat, I got RBT'd 2 months ago in my car on my p's, he asked to pop the bonnet, couldn't find anything, everything is stock. So 25 minutes later, after checking exhaust, which is stock, checking tyre profile when tyres are 90%, he actually decides to serve me with a fine for my back p-plate not being visible. He came up with the fine smiling like he had accomplished something and finished with the "have a nice day". Ill never forget that smile.....

Heres where my p-plate stays because I cant sit it on the side, it flies off and cant put a p-plate holder because the plate is bent, but ive never been pulled up for it before and have not been pulled up for it after so I dunno.

While petty, the officer isn't wrong for pinning you for obscuring your P plate. There are a few options you can do to prevent this happening again.

1. Magnetic number plates on the boot lid

2. Buy/make a P plate holder that comes under the number plate

3. Cable tie the P plate to the number plate (I did this on my Ps, be warned though, the P plate will only last a month or so before it breaks off :/ )

And thats a wrap!

jawrgy, you might have had a bad experience in the past mate, don't know and don't really care.

What i will say though is that there is absolutely no place for the attitude you've shown in this thread on SAU.

I'm not saying you have to agree with everyone, but personal attacks will not be tolerated. Its pretty simple. Like it or move on.

    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
