I was woundering if the Haltech Ps2000 is werth the price as an ecu upgrade,? Has anyone used it?

I'm using the power fc at 25psi with a z32 mass air flow, AMS (GT950R). I'm thinking of getting the ps2000 and getting rid of the restictive mass air flow. I want to try running 30psi, and i'm flat lining the power fc at 25psi. Plus is there anyother features that can put the pfc in the dust. Well what i'm trying to say is will it be worth the upgrade. I've heard that the fc is real an old item.

Thanks mates.

flat lining on the AFM is the same as running a map sensor

once you reach target boost the load cells do not increase anymore so you run along the same load axis

so essentially you can pretend you have a map sensor and tune away with no change

Paulr33, I know that you’re an evangelist of the pfc, but I’m shore that there are other benefits to running a newer ecu. Flat linning the pfc makes it difficult for me to tune. When I reach the close to the flat lining mark, the check engine light flashes, and I can feel the power drop off. I know there isn’t much I can tell you to make you move change your mind about the pfc. The newer stuff has to have some more benefits that the older pfc. One that I herd about is. The self tuning of air fuel ratio’s with the haltech. I have a had time tuning the pfc for constant af’s at different load points. The easiest to tune is the Max load points. Also looking at the software for the haltech seems more practical and user friendly.

I do appreciate all your inputs, as I’ve learnt the most from this site, so please expand my vision in this endeavor.

but it gets real sketchy, afrs are all over the place as you need to tune for the peak load/ rpm afr's.... really not a good idea.

Ie if it max'd out @ 10 psi and your running 16 psi then the tune when running or passing through everything from 10psi to 15psi will have the same fuel and ignition figures as it would @ 16 psi.... not nice, it will be mego rich and mega retarded at anything below 16 psi.....

I agree with this, as I only make sense. If that was the case, then no one would need to upgrade there ecu’s. There would be no need for larger mass air flow sensors. Most could have just tuned the ecu’s for the same size maf.

Also I like that you can get rid of all the pipes that are integrated in the maf system. IE map set up.

I’m surprised, that I can find anyone that used the ps2000 on this site. As it stands I’m getting one next week with the 5 bar map sensor, and a boost controller kit.

More help on this matter please

Thanks mate

I'm in the same boat mate, I have a powerfc and Q45 and I am maxing the AFM. Hits the bottom row and stays there, lights are flashing like a disco on the dash, and power is all over the shop.

I am going to install a Vipec, and I think that you should look at the Vipec V88. They are PACKED with features, like all sorts of inputs and outputs, launch control, limiters, antilag, engine protections, multiple maps, etc etc. There is a massive list.

These things are so easy to use too.

Yah mate I will look into it it's a good thing I haven't spent the money yet lol I was planing on get the haltech, but about 2 years ago I red some things about the v88 sounds like this ecu is what I'm looking for. I'll do my research. I would really like for more people to give me there inputs on this topic. I'm shore there are guy's that have reached these power levels and not just us. The power fc is out dated and that's a fact. It's time for a change. V88 from what I've red is the best for a all round use. Can you recommend a dealer that sells these units.? What about the cost any idea? Well thanks alot mate. I'll let you know what I find. Ca

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
