I'm looking to buy a heavily modified R34 GTR. I have the cash, and just need to find the right car. Looking to pay $60-$80K for the right car.

Looking for something with all the fruit.

Big Wheels

Big Brakes

All the engine hardware - N1 Block, Built Engine, Turbos, Ecu etc.

Suspension

Not looking for a R33 or R32 (so please don't ask). Please PM me or Email [email protected]

Happy to travel interstate for the right car.

We might part with "Nitto" for the right money. Lightning Yellow 2000 R34 GTR V Spec with 800kw @ all four (1072hp). Give me a call on 0402 421 437.

Have you got any info on the car you can send me? Not a huge fan of Yellow, but it damn looks impressive on the Dyno.

Very nice car (and kudos to the owner), but modified 1999 R34 does not equal 2009 R35 GTR money in my book, but that is just my opinion. If the price was different, then I would be interested.

for the monety you offer you wanted a high wuality worked 34 gtr??

given that a vspec 2 nur is still 80k+ from japan finding one with all the fruit for that price is not likely.

the car mentioned above is only 50k more than a stockish vspec2 nur from japan... so its a bargain really.

just to give you an idea... this one isnt even a nur...

Not looking to offend anyone. I have been in modified cars for a very long time. This one is question is a work of art. No doubt. This is a 1999 Vspec, which can now be bought stock for $40K, and it is not a low kms limited edition NUR. At the current asking price, I just don't see value. But that is just my opinion, and I hope he gets what he is asking.

My $60-$80K price range is what I have seen similar cars go for over the last 12 months. I guess I am lucky that I am near Sydney, where the car market is fairly agressive.

I think in your price range you should start looking some heavy mod R32/33 , as R34 with all that fruit you want , will be for next couple of years out of your budget .

Unless you will be very very lucky and you find somebody who is in the big financial problems etc and will let his car go under value , so thats will be his loss and your gain . otherwise I cant see you as the owner of nice R34 GTR heavy modif .

You would be surprised how many cars as highly over 35 GTR cost , and I dont think is good to compare new car with previous model even with mods , because if you start to spending money on heavy mods for R35 you will be very soon over 200/250 K mark .That is my opinion .

What about "The Jetter's Edge" R34 GTR, or are you looking for a tidy street car with lots of mods? Or a race car?

I spoke to the owner a little while ago. Real nice guy. I'm just trying to remember why I decided not to go look at it..... ;)

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
