Well the car at the shop said these arent recomened for tying your car down he said you need to find specific ones used for trailers or over the wheel ratchet straps but cant find any shops that sell stuff like that

truck shops have the good ones...what area u in theres heaps of truck shops in dandy that sell them

Bunnings have some but there expensive and not as good..but they will do the job

personally id be getting something rated at least 2500kg would be perfect

that said i have tied cars down with rope before..

go supercheap auto? they sell straps, i use them to tie down the car on the tandem trailors... they work like a charm, $40 or so for good ones and shitty ones for like 25 or so..

Do not use crappy 1in straps. its the lashing rating that needs to be high. and you want to use 1 per corner.

You run up the back of something you dont want the car on top of you.

Its amazing what some people strap their cars down with...

I bought some from Bunnings. Not sure if i got the correct ones, just some high load ones.

Attached them onto each wheel pulling car forward and back.. Heard this is the best way as the suspension still sways but wheels wont move anywhere?

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
