last week i ordered 16" ROH adrenalin in chrome, with 225/50 tyres.

That price was pretty good, $1650.

I was sposed to get them this week, but the guy rang me and said ROH lost them, or something along the way, theyd be another 2 weeks.

He said hes not happy wit them, and hell try to get me a much better price per wheel or something.

Then i get another phone call, and he has managed to get me 17" blades, shadow chrome, with 235 tyres for $1700 instead, fitted tomorrow afternoon.

The guy has done a good deal for me, so im gonna give him a plug.

Avanti tyres in rockingham, sort of know the owner through dads work, so maybe thats why he tried hard, but if youre after wheels, give them a ring and see what they can do. Im very happy with hows hes handled this.

Well while were on the topic of 'stroke of luck' i just had to push start all 1.6 odd tons of supra :D ahhh... what a stroke of luck:lol:

U never realise how heavy ure car is until u leave ure lights on and have to push it up a hill:uh-huh:

And poor quality and quick wear dont go hand in hand. My tyre are pretty cheap and they wear fast but grip real hard in the dry. But not so good in the wet.

I disagree.. I have 225/50/16's (Sava Rapidex) weren't the most expensive tyre... but for $119/piece instead of $180 i usually pay.... and lasting 60,000kms!!!

And I drive like a tool most of the time, so other tyres (read: $180 worth) havent even lasted mt 30,000kms yet.. and they're nearly bald!

Have you had simex tyres before?

I have had them on one of my previous cars, and i thought they performed better than the G-grid's on my last car.

These tyres, that i picked up today, are nice and sticky, and the last ones didnt wear quick at all.

They might not be the top of the range, but they are at least middle if not better.

Overall I was happy with how they handled the situation.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
