Hi Guys

Ive been discussing with Crower in the US about having a custom crank made to suit the RB30, they responded by saying that they can make me a crank with the following specs:

4340 Billet Steel

Knife edged

Rod/main drilling

Rated to 10,000rpm (absolute)

Will hold 2500hp (absolute)

Please note the rev and hp will be engine dependant as i dont think the RB30 should be revved past 8800rpm and i dont think it will hold 2500hp but that is the cranks ability.

I am also wanting to have them made with the RB26 R33/34 oil pump snout to get rid of the failure issue related to R32 BR26/RB30 oil drive.

If people are interested email me [email protected] to discuss further

Mods this is not an ad and i thought more pople would see it here

Are you sure that a std RB30 crank will fail at the power you are chasing, heard of any actual instances (Has Nizpro and his merry league of 9sec VLs had troubles?)

With a girdle dont you remove many of the probs that would contribute to bottom end woes?

Anyway, i only need enough power to get to the end of my street...not the moon, good luck with the engine! :(:);)

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
