why are you so bitter? let this guy buy what ever the f**k he wants. sell your 34 and buy i 4x4.. sounds like you would fit right in to the club..

cause it's a woman.. she's obvoiusly lost her way back to the kitchen and is just a little frazzled..

Man, I can't stand retards who get narky over car accidents.

I've only had one at-fault accident and I at least had the common courtesy to pay for all damage caused out of my own pocket.

I was a passenger when my girlfriend crashed her car, and the person she hit came out and started abusing the shit of my gf. f**k I lost it at her, i can't remember much but I remember the words "arrogant...bitch...f**k off"

Luckily it didn't make it to the police report >.>

Anyways, it's just common courtesy to acknowledge when you're in the wrong. Some people are just disrespectful little shits... like the people who don't thank you when you let them in front in traffic.

Sorry if this has been asked, what nationality was the driver and what type of 4x4?

Could we got some more generalizations in this thread.. I don't think there have been enough, the 4x4's are all evil was an average start, the sexist remark was good thread builder, but I definitely like where the racial stereotyping is going.

AIDS and cancer and dead babies. /thread.

In my experience it's most likely to be 3rd world immigrants who don't have insurance and don't respect road rules, it's like that where they come from....everyone is poorly socialized.

just to throw in a curve ball, sometimes accidents in carparks are not covered by insurance.

a lady scraped my bumper while taking a corner in a carpark. 1 witness and security camera evidence still didn't help. RACV just said they wouldn't cover it because it din't happen on a road.

whose bitter???? i was just stating a fact melville imports cars are mostly in crap condition for his askin prices, and i never said he/she couldnt buy the car from there, just said im glad i didnt, and why would i sell my 34 for a peice of shit 4x4, if ur so keen on the idea why dont u go sell ur 32 and buy one it'll probs be worth more too

Forget bitter, why don't you stick to comments relevant to the topic, rather then a pretty sad attempt at putting shit on someones car.

Seriously this isn't the wasteland last I checked.

As for the OP,

Sorry to hear about your car mate, this sort of thing happens all the time and it's actually quite frightening how many people will try to screw you even when in the wrong !

Best of luck !

To the OP who started this thread, good luck and what that gentleman(one in the 4x4) is doing some people call fraud (bloody close to it anyways) and last time i checked it is a serious offence, although i doubt the local fraud squad would care much.

From Wiki: In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual; the related adjective is fraudulent.

The specific legal definition varies by legal jurisdiction. Fraud is a crime, and also a civil law violation.

Have lost count of the number of times that a 4x4 cut me off without indicating or looking forcing me to either brake harshly or take evasive action. Grew up in the country and these city slickers driving around in their 4x4's are a joke. F250's(by far one of the larger 4x4's) are outdated and unless your towing something in the vicinity 40ft yacht shouldn't be allowed on our roads.

Actually, I only asked for the nationality out of pure interest, not so I can flame a nationality.

And I wanted to get a good idea of the amount of damage caused by the 4x4 based on which 4x4 it was.

You're right, it's not wastelands, so let's just leave it there.

OP; any progress with what's happened with this?

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
