you've got the new one Div?

have you done the exhaust on it? how does it sound?

Just a BF

The new coyotes look like they are getting stupid power out of basic tunes, easily going over 300rwkw when they are sold as 315 at the fly.

sounds pretty mean though Div,

I think holden win in terms of exhaust sound out of the V8's? what do you reckon?

the new holdens sound pretty good thanks to the chev motor. before the chev motors the fords sounded so much better than the holdens. i still have a soft spot for the ford v8's though

Wow you are an angry little boy arent you. Aren't forums meant to be all about someones opinion. Just because you disagree with someone doesnt make them an idiot. One reason why you see a lot of tradies in falcon utes is due them being able to put an alloy tray on the back. Holden dont allow that anymore but if they did you would see the same amount of holden's out there.

But wait you will disagree with this and call me an idiot as well ;)

I'm not little, nor am I angry.

Falcons have been tradesperson vehicle of choice for about 20 years. Holden's carrying capacity has been shot since they went to independent rear in the utes (around VT? VS/VR were IRS in sedan but I don't think the utes were).

There's opinion, and there's I'll informed, biased rubbish. I'll let you guess which I believed to be coming from you.

lol that just reminded me of the funniest thing that happened to a mate of mine.

he gets a new work ute every 2 years or so right and he went out and got one of the fords with the alloy tray on the back. he picked it up brand new drove it out of the dealership and 20 mins later it broke down...

needed a new engine put into it .... in a brand new f**king car, the flamin mongrels at the ford dealership even tried to make him pay for the tow truck haha

and seriously this was a lovely lil discussion until a certain few morons got involved with it lol....

calling a dude an idiot for teling a story about his mates misfortune with his ford collection is just childish bro, theres a wasteland for that shit.... were trying to decipher which would be the best of the 2 utes would be best for our chosen requirements...the first few pages of this thread were nice and clean, the last 2 have become a slugging match....i get excited when i see a new reply and i see its just retards going on about who would rape who on a track, seriously f**k off aight!!

ive now driven both the ssv and the xr6 turbo utes. in terms of straight lines yeah there both ok, not bad even.

but

taking corners in the 2 of them is where they really differ.

the holden was actually quite surprising, it handled ok and even when i gave it a lil 2 much stick was able to be brought back in line pretty well....

i didnt have the same experience driving the ford lolz (to say the least)

i was waiting to give my full detailed decription and analysis until after i have driven a v8 ford but if the chassis is the same then i dont think much will change from my current description...

the seats and interior in the holden are nicer as well.

and im sick of seeing in the car adverts the new "euro" styling of the ford. its a fkn ford ffs lolz

I do think tho it is quite ironic that i am arguing Holden vs Ford in a skyline forum. But the funnier thing is the two cars that this forum is about i dont think people buy because of the size of the payload.

Fpv f6 has a payload of around 540kg where as the SSV has just oer 600kg. Not bad for independent suspension.

I have been in a VE commodore with the walkinshaw supercharger on it and f*ck me that was insane. It does not take much to tweak the holden ( or ford) to some amazing numbers.

I will state tho that the base falcon ute ( with the optional 1 tonne suspension uprade) does carry far more than the omega ute. So i agree with you there.

And it was VU when the ute first had independant rear.

i was once told by a cop that if they were in a high speed chase they would want to be in a Holden as the stick to the road so much better. If they wanted to have a bit of "fun" they would drive the falcon.

i think with cops you'll still get the same holden vs ford camps. I spoke to a few before I got my xr6t asking about their reliability (i figure cops will wreck them the fastest with KM and rough driving sometimes needed) and they all gave the ford the thumbs up. One had a VE and was spewing his BF xr6t got retired. Others will be holden fans through and through. And then you get the exceptions like the one that pulled over my mate to compare his 1J cressida to his own ;)

Yeah you're just an ignorant troll, I'm relaying what I have seen. I don't like Falcons OR Commodores so there is no bias from me, otherwise I'd be jumping up and down saying "Buy an R34" :)

So I'll stick with my labelling of you as a complete Fanboi....your Windsor comments sums that up.

Pointing fingers at people calling them idiots; in itself is an admission of your inability to reason or provide a civil argument, the ignorant always resort to put-downs when they're can't provide a decent reply.

Hang on, pin head, you're the one trying to write off my informed and reasoned opinion as being fanboi dribble.

I also love 350s and a Slant 6's with triple webers at full song gives me a boner, so now what am I? Don't get me started on a stroked L18 with twin 45's or a CBR600 with a fill Micron at 15,000RPM. Of course if I had the spare cash to build anything it might b a Datto 1600 with a warm 13b turbo.

So, now what fanboi am I?

Pal, you're the one trolling here. Bullshit anaecdotes that you use in vain to try and bolseter your opinion. There's nothing wrong with Fords, as much as you'd like to convice us oterwise, just as there is nothing wrong with Holdens. There are differences between the two, but either would not be a bad choice. I have a preference based on a number of reasons, but none of them are "LOL, Fords is shit, lol, cause they brake!"

Hang on, pin head...

Here we go again, another low-brow dig

ROFL, it appears there is ONLY one other thing you like to stroke other than an L18 and your massive ego....
