Hey guys,

I finish exams on the 10th of Nov so as promised I was going to start doing movie cruises more regularly over the holidays.

Dinner

Seeing as it will be a Friday - we'll make it TGI FRIDAYS at 7:30pm

I would like numbers by next Monday - 8th of Nov so I can book a table for those eating.

For those not eating, we will all meet out the front of the movies at roughly 9pm to do tickets.

Movie

I know this movie comes out on the 4th of Nov, but if you guys can wait another week then we can all go see it for roughly $14.

Meet location: Apple Peel Car Wash - 1 Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe

Meet Time: 6:30-7:00pm on Friday, 12th Nov

Leaving time: 7:15pm

Destination: Doncaster Shopping Center

Price: ? - Roughly $14 if we get about 20 people

Also, as we know from last time, I will need cash from everyone as we cannot pay separately, so please have $14-15 CASH per person.

If weather is nice, a cruise afterward will go ahead.

i should be in, will confirm closer to date..but adam isnt dinner at 7:30 abit late because being a friday they get busy at tgi's

As long as we are there at 7:30 we have an hour and a half to order, eat, relax and head upstairs, I'm sure we'll be alright.

I have booked a table for us already and they said it should be fine.

i think im down as a maybe now, i might need to do the friday close shift

will confirm mid week adam

I'll do my best, but I really need numbers by tomorrow, latest Tuesday morn, as the Village guy will try to book seats for us again, the earlier I book, the more chances I can pick good seating for us.

At the moment we have about 5 confirmed.

Tonight is the latest guys, otherwise I am just guessing 10 and if you have more then they will have to pay extra on the night.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
