learn throttle control in the wet lol, I can drive with the shitest tyres that were 100 a side and with 270kw I can make it not slide in the wet just control your foot.

this, best answer you'll get

ps. u were @ oct winton drift?

Moved here...

Before this totally goes off the rails, which inevitable...

I can spin the tyres in a KE Ford Laser...

It would be lucky to have what, 40fwkw? Used to be able to have it wheel spinning into 3rd which whilst amusing, was rather pointless.

So have a think about that. Totally comes down to throttle control. If you expect a 190rwkw car to have traction in the wet, then you are very naive good sir.

Any car will spin the wheels in the wet if you force it.

Failing that, I would suggest using 99% throttle instead of 100%. That'll fix it.

yeh 33 no front bar was me :P

lol nismoid my mate had one of those lasers we got a great run on chapel one night raining lined up the tram lines epic lols all the way to d'nong road from just after jam factory.. should note was a loooooooooooooooooong time ago.

but there is nothing like the lols you get out of shitb0x cars.

Come on !! You're kidding me. There are so many possibilities for a joke here I just don't know where to start. So I'll try to be serious and just say that perhaps a you should sit on your lounge at home and take your shoes off. See that thing at the end of your leg ? That's a foot. Now, see the little sausage type thingy jiggys coming off your foot ? They're toes. OK, try if you can to wiggle your toes. Good, good. Do that every night for a week and when you have full control of the nerves from your brain to your toes just take a full day off and rest.

Ok, here we go, the big day. I want you to see if you can control the movement of your right foot. Woe, woe, easy now, it may be a little out of control at first since you have never tied to control it before. Try some small rotations at first then after a month or so build up to some up down movements. I find hanging your tongue out of your mouth may help stabilise the whole area though drooling can be a problem. Give this maybe twelve months and only then will the nerves between your brain and foot be fully functional. You may now grab the keys to your new Hyundai Getz and try to drive like a member of the human race. :P

A Mate & I both had one each, brought em @ the same time as well...

A manual one was simply the most amusing, one of the funniest cars i have owned - I remember going down the GOR in it, doing 60-80km/h around some of the corners was hilarious with the body roll and tyre squeal. It almost made the GOR 100x better considering you can never open a fast skyline up safely these days in those parts haha.

yerrhh gotta be manual scary to think they were cutting edge at some point in history i miss having crap cars that you can slam into gutters not bother locking not bother servicing an that..

serious cars are too serious

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
