Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner (or Equivalent)

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has used this product on their RB engine or any other engine.

Is it worth it?

Will it actually cause damage? ie. big chunks of crap from the intake manifold going into the combustion chamber etc..?

I've been reading lots about it on the interwebs - some people have used it in their Evo and SR20s - so far no ill effects - from what I've read.
