Ahh mate it's probably not the place to be posting my dramas, but what the hell why not.... I'm not far off being on the single scene again, after 7+yrs & a 17mth old bub. Ahh well, these things happen.

It's nothing wrong with the car, if that's what you were thinking

shit greg, sorry, got the my dates messed up - I was hoping you be able to attend.

so, does anybody have a problem with the 6th or March (saturday prior)????? if so please let speak up, cos I dont want to stuff anyone around be changing dates if thats possibel

No probs with me, probably actually better for me the weekend earlier - plus I want to see Gregs car on the rollers before he goes away!!

Really sorry to hear that Matt, seperated with mine a couple of years ago, then we got back together (you would think I learnt from my mistakes the first time:p)

- good to hear the car is ok:)

Thanks Steve. Actually she's your next door neighbour atm, how's that for ironic! If you look very closely you'll notice a BoostWorx sticker :) Hmmm.... gotta' look on the bright side, more room in the garage now

I'll have a chat to Shaun & see about getting a TV set up to watch the GP during the dyno day.

hey man .. u got a gtr?? shiet .. how much??

I got it for $17KAUS FOB

So its working out to be about $23K mark...only another week or 2 away...

I've been having insomnia for the last few weeks waiting

Im in the same boat hehe as ecenshu if my car is here and onroad by then it be good to see what its got and also meet everyone. But its cutting it close .

Also the GP is on March 4 til 7 which im attending :D Go kimi

I have booked 6th of March, so once again, if there are any problems speak up quickly or this date will be set.

Runs to start at 11am.

on another note, just found out my new wastegate spring (that I just received from Japan) is only 10psi instead of 1 bar - farken, farken FARKEN

Anybody got a spare 1 bar wastegate spring to suit HKS standard wastegate? its the yellow one:)

Just wondering does this boostworks have a four wheel drive dyno? Not sure if I can go but if I can it would be better then having to take the drive shaft out.

2WD, well it was the last time I was there

er, the dyno is during the day?

yeh but i live in murray bridge and im plaaying at the mannum pretoria

and im the one who carts the gear and sets up

so that dont give me a full day at the dyno i would have to leave by 2pm

to much running around :thumbdwn:

    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
