Hi

I came across these the other day when looking for wheels to put on my RS4S when it gets here. Has anyone seen/had them on a car or any other wheels of this brand?

I think they look pretty nice, but I'm yet to see them in the metal, or see them on a car.

they look ok!

check how much they weigh. i would imagine a lot if they are cheapish wheels

This may be a dumb question, but how much should they weigh? Is there an easy way to find out other than getting the shop to weigh them for me?

I'm looking at 18s, not sure about offset yet, I want to try and keep a bit of depth to them which is why I'm keen to see them on a car or in the metal so I can get a better idea what's possible.

Yep, in Launceston so happy to meet up some time. Hopefully should have the car in mid-Jan (it's on the boat from Japan next week), so looking forward to that!

Check their website for sizing and weight. Tangles has these wheels in 18s, i think. Do you have a RS4S or RS4? Wider rear track needs offset to be higher at the rears. Swapping cradles sorts that. I got cr kais 17 x 9 +23. IMO get good tyres and rims that fit your car well. Try not to use spacers.

Its going to be a long couple of months for you then.

I have 18x8 with 30 offset and my tires are 235x40, when i lowered the car i needed 15mm spacers on the rear but after getting adjustable camber arms and

bringing the camber back to standard i didn't need the spacers any more.

When you get yours down here your welcome to have a look and try my rims to see how they fit, I am pretty sure they didn't fit with standard hight,

the problem was the rims where rubbing against the coilovers which are a lot thicker then standard so i guess it all depends what you have on your car.

I'm getting an RS4S Dayz edition. I can see some stats on the webiste, but no weight I don't think.

The plan is to get wheels and tyres that fit well, I don't want to be mucking around with spacers or have bad fitting rims. If these ones don't work out, I'll try and find something else.

Haha, it certainly will be a long couple of months, particularly once the car reaches Oz and is getting complied etc, so close yet so far!

Coming and looking at different rims sounds good. The more I see the more idea I will have.

Next question, where is the best place to get them done in Launceston?

IMO dont fck around too much with the camber. With coilovers or lowered the rear wheels naturally tend to lean in, and result in chewing the inside of the tyres. This occurs because it physically works against the multi link independant rear suspension of the stagea.

Ppl use camber kits as a cheap workaround for looks, but dont reliase they are just complicating suspension components when they should concerntrate on strenghtening them. Let me emphasise again - buy rims that fit with a 9" width and good tyres. Offset and disc type is the key to a successfull fit. Remember always equate fitting bigger brakes behind them. :(

Cool, thanks for that. Definitely looking at the same size all round. Is the fact that they are 18x8.5 rather than 18x9 going to make much of a difference?

Basically, an 18x8.5+15 will sit 1/2 inch further inside the guard than 18x9+15.

      So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch

      It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
