2rismo's time was the 13sec

From memory he's running about 200rwkw + 50hp nitrous  right Adrian ?

With some nitto's or BF's you got a 12.7sec begging

Comp T/A's Specs: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/assets/pdf/...drag_radial.pdf

Personally i'd be far more happier doing consistent 12.7's all nite than 1x low 12sec and 4x mid 13's. No point going to the 1/4 expecting to drop half a second in 1 nite.

I agree but why no go all out on one pass and then repeat that for consistency?

Just had a thought.... What's the quickest that ANYONE has gone on a std turbo'd (non-hi-flowed, ceramic wheeled etc) GTS-T???

2rismo, what tyres were you using?

Sh1tty sh1tty sh1tty Pirelli semi-slicks that had gone off. They're really designed to run @ 48psi and go round and round tracks not straight up for 400m.

BF's coming (fingers crossed for Jamboree in March).

im really interested in nitrous mate. wat kit are u using? and how much was it if u dont mind me asking.

Kit is a butchered and bastardised mess. 3 different Nitrous companies' products involved. (NOS, OzRace and ZEX) as well as the ancillaries like F.P.Reg, lines, fittings etc. Couldn't really give you an idea of price on that but a full kit with bottle shouldn't cost you more than 1300 bux. NOS, ZEX, OzNos are all about that.

In short, I have everything crossed to go into deep-twelve-country by just changing tyres and switching the gas on from the launch instead of from 2nd gear.

Fair point, but if the car hits a low 12 whats going to stop it from doing it again?

I remember someone one the forums claiming a 12.9x with std turbo. I also know of another who claims 12.6 with stock turbo, but the only thing stock was the turbo.

Take a look at your own passes of late for example. You have done about 5+ 13.4-13.5's and then a 13.0 and a 13.1 so what I mean is rather than trying to do 1x 12.2sec and then rest all low-mid 13's i'd personally be aiming for nothing 'slower' than 13.0 (ever) but occassionally dip into the mid-high 12's when you get a good clean run (which as im sure you are aware is not possible on 'every' run due to a bad launch or missed gear etc etc) as your next 'step'.

I just wouldn't be going to the track aiming to knock 0.5->0.9sec off "just like that" because the mph says its possible.

Anyhow lemme know when ur back at WSID with some decent tyres and i'd be very interested in watching again :P

If it was that easy many more people would be doing it.

Think about it... you have 12-14sec to do what u gotta do. A minor 0.1-0.3sec stuff up anywhere along that 400m is gonna ruin a good time.

I just think consistency is the key to a 'quicker' time. With a 115mph TS a 12.1 flat would not be out of the question thats a whole 0.9sec faster than what has currently been done :headspin:

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
