Hey Guys

The next cruise is fast approaching.

Any car is welcome to come as long as they dont act silly... Please post below if your able to come....

Hope to see you all there

Date - 11 December 2010

Meet - Silverwater Boat Ramp

Time - 5pm

Leave - 6pm

Destination - Wollongong Lagoon than onto a lighted carpark for some photos of the cars

Homebush Bay will still be closed due to the V8s and the dismantling of the pits area so we will be using the boat ramp again..... The Wollongong car scene only takes off on saturday nights hence why its not a friday night cruise...

Haha I knew you would be in Matty..... Maybe you can keep up with my V8 this time...

The car scene in wollongong may not be like Newcastle but it is big enough to hold a cruise and cruise through the streets.

They just opened a new carpark up which is where we will go after the lagoon for photos which is very popular on saturday nights

Wollongong Car Scene?

New car park? :P

Popular? ;)

Our car scene is about as big as our clubbing scene at the glass house these days... IE, non existant... It exists of 3 Civics or Excels "cruising" and 10 Highway Patrol Cars defecting them...

Just a warning, Saturday night is the 12th... The car parks in the lagoon will be full, it's Christmas Party time... I know this because my whole work will be at the Lagoon for a Christmas Party on Saturday the 12th of December...

And if you're actually meaning Friday the 11th, then that's Wollongong's Santa Claus Pub Crawl. IE, every shit faced person will be out along with every police officer patrolling around...

Too true Matt, too many drunks and fully sick vl's,and i think were all up the central coast that night, correct me if i'm wrong. :)

Saturday is the 11th not the 12th......................... Check your calendars boys....

There is a car scene in the gong not sure about the skylines but the commodores have a good car scene... And have for over 5 years plus there will be 2 clubs invited to this who are based in the gong...

New carpark opened up??? where??

No cause I hear people do skids at here and police patrol it 24/7.....

Even still, navigating that carpark would be nigh-on impossible. I found it hard to get up/down the ramps in a 2009 i30, and that's saying something. Definitely not made with lowered cars in mind.

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
