yep both of the above...actually no.

its the auto mirror folding... so when you lock the car, it folds the mirrors, or doesn't fold the mirrors. Thats what it does in mine :)

I have a S2 M35 Stagea... same interior.

toggles the mirrors to point down when you put the car in reverse.. saves you from gutter rash.. (coupe at least, might be different in sedan)

Thats the one! Must have been confused. I knew it did something with the mirrors

Deffinitely reverse mode for the wing mirrors. Mine has exactly the same button and it does just that. The auto folding mirror button actually has a picture of wing mirrors on it and its a switch not a push button.

I Have no Idea why the couldn't put both switches side by side with clear labeling, so confusing.

Since we are on the topic of buttons, i have a 70th anniversary edition coupe auto. The switch with the power/snow option I was wondering what does it actually make it do. I know when i turn it into slow the car goes all heavy and acceleration is crap (as expected dont want ur ass swinging out in the snow), But i want to know what does flicking it into to power actually do to the engine???

It just locks out 1st gear. Car will only move in second to prevent wheel spin.

Ah bugger! I kept pushing it hoping for a White Christmas...

hahahahaha! :domokun: correct me if im wrong but in our stagea's being 4WD im pretty sure switching changes the amount of power distribution from front to back.

ie 40/60 or synchro 50/50.

the Snow setting kind feels slow n shit n like my diff is locked.

When you turn on "Snow" mode, it "locks" the differential so that 50% of the power goes to the front wheels and 50% to the rear. It also limits the throttle, that's why you don't spin the wheels.

It's a great feature. If it's raining heavily, I would drive with "Normal" or even "Snow" mode to avoid the wheel spins and skits.

"Power" mode is good for spirited driving, and it consumes alot on fuel.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
