Yeah, money is no problem is just the booking in and waiting etc I suppose ill have to if i cant track it down.

No one thinks gasket ?

an exhaust leak post turbo would just make it noisy, pre turbo would also be noisy but could cause boost to drop, neither would make it run rich or misfire though

leaky injector?

never heard of them leaking into the cylinder, I guess its possible though.

other thing to check is if you have a rising rate regulator that the lines haven't fallen off, however that would probably make it lean I think, not rich.

Are they all covered exaclty the same? If so that rules out a leaky injector.

Then u need to do a pressure or smoke test on the entire intake system from airflow meter to inlet manifold.

Just for a quick look if u can check on the fc hand controller in settings and airflow make sure its still set on ur current airflow meter. If theyre stock then it should be on stock. If z32 then on vg30 etc. Its an easy thing to accidently change and sometimes will still run but tune is waay off.

If the intake is all sealed up then the dyno is the next best bet. Give ur tuner some new plugs so he can run it up on the rollers with fresh plugs. So let him putt hem i. Just before he runs it.

It sounds like Lean pop to me, if it's only soon it as it rolls on boost, check the fuel pressure after the filter, I'd just replace the filter for the sake of it. Is the car running stock boost?

It never realy got off boost driving, it was just short bursts up and down my street, the plugs were dark but I think that was because I had that stupid fuel tank breather plugged into the TB lol. Once you found that prob, than it was missing just a's it rolled on boost, the main way I found out it was lean poping, was I turned the boost down from 16psi back to stock, and it got alot better. Hardly did it at all, that's when I realised it was lack of fuel, and a during fuel pump was to blame.

But in saying that if I would have changed the plugs after we change the TB plumbing I'd say the plugs would have gotten light coloured.

Haha oh yeah forgot u did that with the breather. I suppose thats 1 way of getting more fuel in the engine without bigger injectors. Haha just let the engine suck it from the fuel tank lol.

Lol we should do that with my gtr next time it's on the dyno.... Save me heaps of cash on injectors. Bahahaha

Yea it was sucking vapour, it was just running mega rich and backfiring when you lifted your foot. Like a big back fire lol 1 meter flames, like a gun going off. Haha it blow the middle muffler from the inside out hahaha broke all the little tac dipple welds holding it together. I learnt my lession there hahaha

I think I may have a couple of gaskets which are pretty much f**ked, ordered new ones from nissan.

Will check the intake.

more about my car, has a new fuel pump. plugs are 1500kms old(not gapped to .8), new oil. and its running a haltech so no afm and on o2 sensors!!

althought i blew a hose and covered the pods in oil and i had a few inlet hoses off the other day and saw alot of oil in there. so looks like turbo to inlet manifold pipes will have to be pulled out and cleaned out from all the oil

i was gonna check th igniter module.

i think i have a bad grounding in the engine but...

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
