This just in; got my first irate phone call from my mate  . Apparently imports ARE expensive to repair. After an extensive chat; I politely asked that he refer any further correspondence to Shannons.

He then (stupidly) asked "Why? What are you gonna do if I don't?"

Guess whos getting 10 pizza's tonight?

At 11pm...

And every night this week.

GAME ON, SYMOND.

*Grabs Popcorn and waits for updates*

Feel free to PM if you'd like a phone number, for when you're bored/drunk/lonely.

At 3am.

Symond seems to REALLY enjoy a chat.

1800 reverse is your friend.

Feel free to PM his details (phone, car details etc)

Any update/outcome on this Dale...?:whistling:

It has suddenly dawned on me how annoying it is living in a road with a CBR250RR rider. I don't mind bikes, but that has to be one of the most annoying noises to hear everyday- there is nothing funny about having to go up a street at 10,000rpm slowly.

How rude of me not to update.:spank:

I sent him a serve of Domino's finest at 10pm last friday, cos I still had the shits; 5 ham & pineapple, 5 cheese (didn't want him to enjoy them too much). And one of my mates is a bit of a late night drunken dialler, so I gave him the number, after 2 calls a night for 4 days; he reckons he's not answering anymore...

I'm not ready to give up on you yet Symond, I still have so much love to give!

Also, there's another 6 pizza shops in your area that I haven't used yet...

That's great that you suffered no damage. So the big guards just take the hit without matking? That's impressive.

It's been said before, but why have so many regulars on here had incidents since this thread was started? I think it should be banned.

BTW, for damage that was hard to pick from a distance, the quotes for my repairs were just over $1700. I hope to get it fixed soon.

Jebus, you were only talking about this the other day!

I think we should put this thread to bed, it IS causing bad luck to befall Stageas!

For this next episode we need a bit of background. And you may need some popcorn.

In dec 09, I was royally f##ked by a removalist who didn't turn up on the day I was due to move out of my house. I was in all manner of shit as the new owner was moving in only a day later. Arsehole mover didn't show up at the agreed time and was uncontactable for 4 hours, then spun all sorts of BS about why he was running late, his offsider was sick, I wasn't on this job list (somehow had my phone number though :whistling: ) and so on. Was still promising to do the job at 1am the next morning. All of this time, I was moving anything that would fit in the Stagea & my trailer.

I realised he had no intention of doing the job and the next day managed to find a mover at very short notice who did the rest of the job for an excellent price when they could've charged the earth and I would've had to pay :thanks: . The new movers had come across this arsehole before and told me some very nasty stories about how the guy had screwed other people, I later found even one of my own friends had fallen victim to his particular brand of f**kwittage.

Interestingly, they told me of his inability to pass up a juicy cash job in a big house.

While I was having a beer at the pub, waiting for a mate to join me on Saturday; it occurred to me that there were now TWO people on my list.

I then encountered the age old problem; how to screw two arseholes(I mean join two kindred spirits) with the minimum amount of effort?

Apparently, on Saturday afternoon, the aforementioned mover may have recieved a phone call from a man who he believes to be living in Charlestown, who was interested in moving house! Coincidentally, he's desperate to get into his new place, which just happens to be a rather large, expensive property in my local area. On top of that, he's prepared to pay SUBSTANTIALLY above the going rate, IN CASH, to have the job done NEXT WEEKEND, but only if the job can commence at 4am Saturday.

It turns out; that this certain mover has (from what I've heard) fallen on slightly hard times, and is extremely keen to do a short notice cashie for a man in need! What a stroke of luck!

It seems he was slightly worried about the amount of travel to the start point, but was won over with the offer of a further large lump sum payment of CASH for his troubles. Also it had the added bonus of ending quite close to his own home base which, apparently he was rather happy about. Swings and Roundabouts eh?

This post may, or may not be based entirely in fact; I'll let you decide.

Welcome to the game gentlemen.

Very nice!!!!.....you just need to sneak over there at about 3AM and put up a sign on his house!

"OWNED"

No, see that's the best part!

Apparently he's moving, but he's keeping it as an investment property, and he's got some REALLY good tenants ready to move in this coming weekend!

It's incredible how things seem to be panning out for Symond...

bicycles. they decide that they have enough authority to ride in the middle of a lane.

stay on the f**kin left hand side of the left lane. not in the middle. if you want to ride in the middle, go and get a registration.. oh wait you cant. THEN GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE EFFING LANE YOU TWAT!

and the next time if you decide to roll up to my window and yell, dont ride away again when i get out of the car. fkn chicken shit.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
