where are you gonna run the oil breather pipe to? might need to get a T piece for your turbo oil return

yeah thats the one, im going to drill and tap the block same as the 25det's for the return

Blue hose has been replaced with a metal pipe!

Yeah I figured it would be cheaper to make my own return than to put a t-piece in the turbo oil return line

yeah the only problem im having is finding a drillbit for an m18 tap lol. worse comes to il just use a step bit

That's before its even started. Figure it will get pretty hot around there.

meh, im using the supercheap blue hose on myne, has held up fine so far.

run the biggest gap you can without misfire, start with 1.1mm and see how it goes. so get some bcpr7es-11

Got the motor all together today, just have to set the timing on it now and it's going in the car next weekend

getting droped in on sat. cant decide if i should stay with the greddy copy plenum or buy my mates JD Customs one. oppinions?

because i like pictures:

had 2 bosses welded under the plenum to bolt the coil packs to.

modified the plenum so i can use an XF throttle body.

Bin a while since iv posted but here it goes.

Got the motor going no worries but it's got mad lifter noise. Only had the car run for about 2 min and it still won't go away. Iv bloked off the rear feed and inserted a 1.5mm in the front.

Keep running it in hope that it comes good or pull the head off and pull out the front and or rear restrictors?

You shouldn't block off the rear oil feed unless you are going to run a 26 head! Rear feed is need too as that feeds the hyd lifters as well.

Run a 1.5mm restrictor in the rear.

There is a thread on here somewhere about oil control mods and the different setups.

with the internal vct feed aswell a single 1.5mm feed is no where near enough. 2x 1.5mm feeds should do it
