Just wondering if anyone has notice that when you drive your skyline on the road, alot of people come up ur arse at the light for the fun of it. Normal roads for me is fine i hate it when I am on a hill and they do it. Its like they want me to roll back and hit them.

Just seeing if anyone else usually have that happening to them. I drive my other car which is a 2006 model camry and no one come up my back side in the skyline they do it all the time.

Especially P platers!!! Nothing against p plates its just they are the majority of them of them that come up my back side for the fun of it.

Give me your opinion?!

hehe you said a funnyy..

On a serious note, yes you will get dickheads constantly even including undercover cops trying to stir you up. The trick is to act with maturity and you won't have any trouble. It's part of the price you pay for driving a high performance vehicle.

Just sit back and smile and enjoy your ride.

lol that is what i usually do just pretend they are not there and just drive its just it gets annoying on a hill. Dont want to pay for damage to a car so just for safety i use the hand brake.

Lol...although RB25PWR isn't undercover.

Yep, it happens...a lot. I can't remember the last time a local V8 with an exhaust was near me without trying to drag me. P-platers LOVE to race. Police don't seem to bat an eyelid down here though, perhaps my skin isn't olive enough?

I had some fool trying to get me to pull over last time. Oh yeah that's likely to happen.

Also got road raged, there was a freak rain storm and then all cars on the highway had to come to a grinding stop due to a dog on the road. Haha all these fun events in no particular order, was an eventful drive up last time!

Try being a chick in a GTR. I hate driving up the highway to Sydney by myself, people carry on a bit silly!

Lol being honest chicks in GTR's do distract me, but i don't think anything silly ensue's.

Not trying anything here, but a girl in a GTR = hawt. If my girlfriend drove a GTR, I'd marry her the moment the rego went into her name.

But as a general thing, I don't get people being idiots. It's actually quite the opposite. I have a lot of people take of REALLY slowly at lights so they don't G me up for a race or something like that.

I've been having a lulz at it, telling friends "they're taking off slower than the green p-plater hoon in a skyline so they can sit back and bitch about how bad of a driver I am". Even though I'm shifting at 2500 and taking it chill.

My opinion of an idiot on the road is someone who's putting other peoples life directly at risk. Ripping a burnout or trying to drift in an industrial area on a weekend or at night isn't too bad when you've got friends all around you managing the pedestrians, but turning your headlights off at night and almost forcing a car off the road is being a total f**king wank.

And Skyline drivers don't general attract wankers. Infact, in Sydney, I've met plenty of extremely enthusiastic and friendly Skyline drivers. It's commodore drivers that have been giving me the shits recently.

I know how annoying being really really ridiculously good-looking can be. It must be even worse for you..lol

Good looks are a blessing and a burden.

You know, you're just going about your daily life, trying to get on with driving or work or what ever and BAM women everywhere.

For example, see figure 1.

hahaha that is gold!

Terry your car is blue now?

Often im driving normally an as soon as i give the slightest throttle ( just a bit of spooling) people feel the need to gun it lol.

i think theyre idiots, "im not racing you, if i was you would NOT be in front or alongside or anywhere near me" lol

PS To all you Camry/Magna/Commodore wagon owners: i behave on roads an enjoy my car on track, nor do i need to prove my car is faster than your shopping trolley

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
