Where abouts are you staying

if your here for the v8's east end would be best as its on the gates of the track

The Old Exchange (might be attending a little event there on the sunday night :whistling: )

Distill - more of a lounge, go play old school mario on snes whilst knocking back some vodka

Belgian Beer Cafe - already mentioned, sensational brews available but bring lots of $$

The Stag - will be over crowded as the bogan population of adelaide will be in there

If you want to see the sights and visit the emergency room at RAH you can go down Hindley St

The Old Exchange? f**k me. Never ever go there.

Ever since the new owners took it over, renamed it to that shit name (previously the Electric Light) they have ruined it. The Old Exchange? Sounds like I'm heading to a 1890's pub.

Went there the other week, bar manager gave me a 'tour' of their 'renovated' back room where they have literally destroyed it. Bar looks like it's made from pieces of wood found on the side of the road. She couldn't even turn on the lights since half of them weren't working. Crowd outside in the beer garden was full of feral bogans. 2 guys wearing Fubu shirts and wu-tang trackies. Rest of the crowd were f**king horrible.

That place is a f**king dump. The manager even admitted that the new owners "could barely afford to buy the place" let alone keep it half respectable.

Tap Inn is a quality pub. Sugar on a Friday/Saturday night on Rundle St is real quality. Older crowd (early 30's and up) and awesome house music. Most places on Rundle St are decent. Also the Union is pretty good, as is the top room there.

You can make your own judgement about Hindley street but it's pretty tame compared to other states around Australia.

plus one for the tap in. also maid and magpie on magil rd and the oriental great places for a feed. north adelaide also has a small selection of good pubs.

victor harbour down south is not bad for a drive and sights, and moana and glenelg beaches have some nice sights too :P

yes the tap in is under recievership, but still operating, the same people also own the bombay bicycle club and coopers ale house. tap in was never as popular as expected all welland good being packed all weekend but think of how much they put into the place.

is the tap in still open, i heard they went into recievership?

Spoke to a DJ who works there, they're bringing in $4 base spirits all night Friday and $12 jugs of spirits all night Saturday just recently... obviously to bring in more people.

Such a nice place but too far out from town. Was a novelty the first few times you go there. And they removed the put put on the roof :(

I hear Radelaide has lots of churches ey brah

yeah I hear that !!!!!, Rad is not the word ..lol

sellicks beach for a day on the sand is nice depending on the tide, weather. just watch for sharks if you go for a swim ,, they come in very very close. but so do the good fish if you cast a line out

just check out the race , if you can see any of it thru 3 layers of fencing,

book a tour at the coopers brewery. proceeds go to charity and only costs $20 or something and about $20 cab fare from the city unless you bus it. takes you for a tour round the site and after you try each of the beers - best to take a bus or cab home again but great fun!

but coz your down for the 500 Hutt street (in the city- they close it off for a street party) is fairly nice after the race to have a nice alfresco meal with some of the Barossa's finest reds.

Adelaide is a bad place to visit - but a great place to live

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
