im keen to head back carseldine way tomorrow night for a longer stay this time.

BTW got to the airport in time fine the other night. other than being half an hour late due to a 4 car pileup on the airport road....

and my bro was half an hour late due to dodgy baggage claim timing.....and everything being uber busy. 9:10 before i got there, just as he walked out...geebus what drive

lots of fun..

I'm at aspley, where the hell is this said joint at carseldine, someone pm me it. Keen to come out for a chat & pizzas.

woolworths complex cnr beams/gympie rds. I'm not there this week . if I am there look for a signed combo van.

I was on my way home from dinner at about 9pm'ish and there was no one there other than general shoppers...

There was a marked police car parked out the front of the coffee shop tho on the entrance to the center...

Probably just refueling themselves for a hard night of "read the newspaper at the station rather than catch junkies breaking and entering"... :P

i headed down with my little bro. we were there from 7:30- about 8:15 before we gave up and headed home :)

all good tho. was a nice drive and some eats either way. contemplated heading down to BNR...but decided to head home and do some drinking instead

I'll be at carseldine shops in the van from 730. I would like to get this meet going properly so if you can drag a few more people in even better. I'll even spot a pizza or two :)

yup i'll be there again on thursday. and i too would like to get it rolling. if we get a good hand full of regulars we could even make a road trip occasionally to BNR to see the southerners :action-smiley-069:

on the topic of the weather..........ridiculous. ruined our entire days work today. had the entire pool interior in and smoothed off, looking pretty....and it haled and pissed down......7 peoples work hrs, and all the pebble wasted for nothing.....thousands of dollars of waste basically.......shit....

/rant out

Yes rain is certainly something different. Still don't have the gtr back from dan's yet & heading back to work for 2 weeks so have to catch up with y'all when i gets back...hopefully won't be raining then :P

    • Thanks, I'll give that a go. Hard pass on the steel bushings though 😄
    • LOL.... a good amount of people (not all) on that continent seem to know everything and like to measure things in bananas, football fields, statue of liberties instead of the metric system lol.
    • I assume the modules are similar enough, so if you've had no issues I don't see why I would. I have tried to find a wiring diagram for the FPCM / fuel pump circuit, but I can't find it anywhere. Otherwise, I would just do some wire cutting and joining at the FPCM and give the 12 V supplied to the FPCM directly to the pump instead. If you know anyone that could help with wiring diagrams, I'd be very happy
    • If it dies, then bypass. The task isn't difficult. I have one running on a standard R32 FPCM. That's after nearly 20 years of it running an 040, which pull substantially more current than the Walbro. They're not the same module, but I'd hope it indicates that the R33 one should be man enough for the job. I think people kill them when putting proper sized pumps on them, not these little toy pumps we're talking about here.
    • Silicone spray won't hurt anything. And if it does, that's an opportunity to put some solid steel spherical bushings in, so you can really learn what suspension noise sounds like, If you're going to try it, just spray one bush at a time, so you can work out which one is actually noisy. My best guess is that if the noise started only since putting the coilovers in, then it is just noise being transmitted up through the top mounts of the struts, and not necessarily "new" noise from bushes. But it's almost impossible to know.
