I got it downloaded and set it as it said, but then I lost all writing. I set it back to anything with Western again and now the boxes that were in Japanese symbols show nothing at all. Crap.

The version I downloaded was 2.0 and Win7 should be 5.01. I think that is my problem with the MS Gothic not working. Sure as heck not paying $129 for a silly font.

My car also doesn't come up in fast.

HCR32 XXXXXX

Also had a mates S13 that doesn't work either. Every other car apart from those two have worked for me though.

if you were to go to google, and search 'ms gothic japanese', and then hit enter, you might find the second link helpful :)

It doesn't seem to do much to my fast pages but

My second link was Wikipedia? Looked through it, but didn't see anything helpful to my issue. Is that what you were referring to?

Haha sorry. It's on fffonts or something like that

I work at a nissan dealership.

There is a local version and a japanese version.

When doing imports you pretty much ignore the 6u9000 part. Its easier to just use the model number instead

Not the most user friendly catalogue but quite good when uve got the hang of it

PM me if u need help

That was the one I used originally and it didn't quite work right. That was the reference to version 2.0 vs the 5.01 that Win7 needs.

I finally got around to re-installing fast on my computer after it crashed, vin numbers won't work??? I have put the MS Gothic font too but theres still heaps of japanese writing? what am I doing wrong here.

your not putting the aus part of the vin in are you? (6U900 or whatever it is) just go ECR33 12345 (as an example)

Otherwise you can press the CD looking icon at the top and choose a model. Just makes it a bit of a pain when you go to look at illustrations as you have to pick the car from all the different options each time

as long as the books (a1, a2 etc) are in the right spot and the program is looking in the right spot you shouldnt have a problem

Sounds like you have used it before so I dont need to explain that the VIN is split into 2 boxes, Trying to think of any other tricks but non really come to mind

Here is what I did and this works in windows 64 bit systems so no messing around with virtual windows setup which is a pain in the ass.

NISSAN FAST 2010 and A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 CDs

This will install on 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

http://depositfiles.com/files/c3dqowelq

(this will be approx. 1GB in size)

Instructions

  • Open the NISSAN_FAST_2010_A1_A2_A3_B1_B2.zip file.
  • Extract/Drag the 'NISSAN' folder to your local disk (E.g. C:\ drive).
  • Navigate to 'C:\NISSAN\FASTPRG\WIN2000\SETUP' and open 'SETUP.EXE'.
  • Click 'Next' a few times and complete the setup.
  • Navigate to 'C:\NISSAN' and open 'Nfset'.
  • Select the 'CD-ROM SETUP' tab and add all CDs from 'C:\NISSAN\CD' (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2) by selecting 'Browse' for each drive number.
  • This step is not necessary. In 'Control Panel' open your 'Fonts' folder. Click on 'Font Settings' and make sure 'Hide fonts based on language settings' is unchecked. While in Nfset, click on the 'ALL' tab and select 'MS Gothic' as the font and script to Japanese
  • Now open 'Nissan Menu' from the Start menu.
Hopefully I've explained this as easy as possible and didn't miss any steps.

Cheers,

Ants

I installed it using this method and way.

You tried the link I posted for the files?

I just installed this last week so I know the files work.

You'll need to download MagicDisc, at least 1 2010 file, install via the setup file (I used windows 2k setup), decompress all the letter files into sub directories of the main FAST directory (i.e. c:\fast\A2), edit the NFS.EXE file to point to the sub directories where you decompressed the files, then start the program.

I didn't do this as mentioned. Edited by MrRx7s3

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
