is the F22C a honda prelude engine i have seen a AE86 with a s200 engine woukld have cost abit i think an sr20 or 4AGE is happening im also looking at a VQ20ET or VQ30DET what about these nissan engines i really didnt wanna use a V6 though as balance would be stuffed.

I had a 13b bridgeport with a modified niki (factory 12a) carb and it made 150rwkw, was a heap of fun in a s2 rx7, with a well tuned webber i would have gotten a good 50hp increase.

As stated before, turbo on an na motor is fine, just like bolting a turbo onto any na tho you have to keep the boost low.

OK, my 2c..

Doing EJ motor is going to be next to impossible, I would let this dream go quick smart.

What you do want is something reasonably powerful with a broad and reasonably high revving. That way you have the grunt to go fast, and done need to break traction everywhere OR fight for power. How to do it? Sub average capacity 4 with a turbo.

If I remember correctly.. It is either an RB20 crossmember OR RB20 engine mounts you need to be able to bolt a CA18 or SR20 straight into the KE chassis.

A CA18DET with a T28 will give you a good 160rwkw that wont make it an absolute shitfight to drive and will make it a low 12 second car. This is what I would do. Personally I would probably fit a T25G off an S13 SR20DET and run the stock ecu with a decent exhaust and cooler.. Call it up to 140rwkw and just keep smilling.

Easy to do, cost effective, good on fuel, cheap to maintain, no need for excessive modification or non factory setups and a fast car.

All in all, win.

yes i know of this engine the only 3SG that was made in RWD format nice engine but i think im looking at a 3RZFE 2.7LT from a 97 hilux keep it NA for awhile then turbo it when i get more cash to buy a nice big snail.

Nope wont be going black top or 20V or 16V it will be a 3RZFE i have checked this out read alot about them fit into earlier rollas without much hassles w58 box fits mounts is the only mod needed to mak eit fit and a custom intake plenum for bonnet clearence not much on youtube about the engine though that i cud find.

I know its out of a hilux 97

    • ouch! how is the car now?I had sold my gtr but have been looking into some on trademe and a 260RS but I wouldnt be keen on any repairs needed on them
    • This sounds like someone who would have owned an R33 in their past... It's okay, I'm 100% picking up what you're putting down Mark.
    • Just back on what was raised about jacking off the the tow/tie down point on the front of cars. I've used it plenty. I've also watched it on a car where you could see it move the front end of the car. It was like the front end/whole car being tweaked and twisted a bit. I will say, I struggle to find good jacking points on MOST cars. The ones that have good points, I then normally struggle to find a jack tall enough to make the car change height!   One of my go to points for either the jack, or the axel stands though, is either a suspension pickup point, OR a subframe to chassis major bolting point. I actually think its the subframe on my R33 that has a bit of a bend in it, from being jacked in the middle too. However, it could have been one of my many other cars I've had over the years! Or it could also be the from me jacking it up, and the fact the top of the front radiator support isn't there, so it can allow the front of the car to move and bend etc.
    • My apologies. I forgot we were talking about weird beard M series stuff. Had been talking elsewhere with someone about an R33 with similar subject and got confused.
    • Nope, I don't like the look of ND RF, or any ND really, I don't like their faces or arses, why, because of their "modern" lines, the NC, whilst "modernish" has a more rounded shape that I like Well, that's how my overly judgemental eyes see it anyway
