What's the number to beat?? :whistling:

So far, 419hp at all 4 is my best to date: looking at an inlet kit, Z32 afms, cold air induction, and a retune prior to this meet, though... Pretty sure I already know of a Rb25 powered dark horse who will eclipse me though.... And it's not you, Darrin! Lol!

Took mine for the first drive in 2 months the other day, and it's not enjoying selecting a gear when stationary: I will at least have that issie fixed before the the meet.

Darrin, is there any way we can remove the front shafts at the workshop, so we don't have to drive around all day in "kill the driver" mode? Or is this not feasible?

I'm all for a dyno run IF I don't have to sacrifice half my drive all day...

Me too. I would like to disconnect at the dyno.

I am not too sure about the 25G ATM. 17yo is trying to organise a swap for an N/A R32 with an RB25. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Am looking forward to the dyno to see where I am up to, before I proceed with my next steps.

I wish check with EFI tomorrow about the drive shaft remova

I will have do mine at home before hand as I can't get my car on a hoist easily.

Micah, is Myles coming for sure?

I will chase everyone tomorrow via pm to confirm numbers. We WILL have to pay extra if we don't get 15. $600 min cost to book the dyno which is fair enough .

Micah pm me for z32 afm's. I know someone with cheap brand new aftermarket ones

what about the nissan rwd method?

i've used this just for driving about and its definitely rwd

just need someone to jack their car up all round, try it and see if the fronts definitely disconnect and don't turn

Pipster, I use that method in the rain but I think that is a bit worrying in a dyno situation, like if for any reason the fronts do suddenly engage someone could easily get run over.

true, could the fronts be jacked off the ground?

Bump to generate more interest.

How are we looking with numbers? 4WD dyno? Just cruise no DYNO? Cancel due to lack of interest? :(

Monday night is deadline for dyno numbers. otherwise it is cancelled.

Where ate all the Queeensland stagea owners gone?

TBH Darrin there's not enough hi po stags round to drum up enough people.

I'd say bail on the dyno n just organise a cruise. I won't be dynoing if the cars not ready anyway.

It's not mandatory to have a hi po Stag to go on a dyno is it? Mine's not & I'm still interested to see the result. Would prefer a 4WD dyno, but not a deal breaker.

WARNING (obvious warning)

IF U PULL THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OUT BEFORE HAND YOU WILL WANT A BLANK OF SOME SOUGHT. OTHERWISE THE SPLINE/SEAL IN THE TRANSFERCASE WILL GET FULL OF SHIT. DUST/DIRT/WATER etc IN THERE CAN and most likely WILL = DEAD TRANSFERCASE.

Its honestly a 10 min job. Just drop it out there. Just need a jack, 2 stands and a 12mm openend spanner.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
