Guys & Gals. This is an additional thread to the one in the events section that not everyone might check before friday.

Last night, James and myself (thanks for driving James) did a quick scout, to organise a late notice cruise for the fulllock.com guys.

This is gonna be an excellent meet, for pics etc. And a chance to have a chat to the guys who have brought you the drift nats.

We have the bolte bridge, telstra dome, cruise ships etc in the backgrounds which will make for some sensational pics, and a good place to meet-up.

This is to showcase what Vic has to offer, as there are interstate/japanese drifters coming over for the weekend.

So it would be good if we can get heaps of Imports out there.

Especially Skylines, to show them what SAU-Vic can do for big meet-up.

Hopefully see as many as we had (if not more) than the GOR Cruise!

:)

Other thread is busier.

Spoke to the law - they happy to help us have a good time and turn a semi-blind eye to the cars. They're not interested in ruining our meet - and are even happy to walk around and discuss legalities with people.

Anyone doing stupid sh*t will be shot though.

Hi SGSky

Welcome to Melbourne.

Just like in most other cities around the world, Friday is the day after Thursday, which follows Wednesday and so on. If you care to look outside - you'll notice it's Tuesday - and that Friday is 2-and-a-bit days away.

Each post has (in the darker strip above it) a time of posting. I note that yours was posted at 6.41pm, Today (Tuesday). To your credit there is no actual 'date' posted in the event thread - but really, it's not that hard to see it is referring to this coming Friday the 19th March 2004.

Sorry to be a smartass - but I've had a bad day :)

in seriousness:

Come along - would be great to meet you there @ 7-10pm Friday 19th March.

I promise I wont be grumpy like I am today :)

nice one... i was thinking of calling them this morning and having a talk to them... would be good to have the police present in a non threatening mannor.

"manner"

unless yer talking about manor - like a mansion?

hmm police in a non-threatening mansion, they wont even see us from there ;P

ok smarta$$ has gone

I should be there with hopefully a couple of decent cameras - you reading this Rob? ;D

[its been a while since I have been a smarta$$ on here so, meh]

cops wont be there to hassle.

they hae promised.

they will have a car there on display i think from what James has said.

As a gesture of good-will.

any idots will have the book thrown at them though. This is just a nice clean meet-up

Sorry to sound like a killjoy but I wouldn't trust the police as far as I could throw one of their TOG cars.

Sure, the cops who come to the meet, make themselves visible etc and have a yak will be nice guys. They won't hassle anyone and all will be buddy-buddy.

On the surface at least.

However I'm tipping they'll take Rego numbers and descriptions of car etc on the sly.

Plus, their TOG mates will have the surrounding roads staked out in a major way.

I'm predicting a defect and canary storm coming out of this.

So many imports and modded cars in one place will be too tempting for them.

Its a whole months revenue quota in one night.

I will be absolutely dumb struck if no one and I do mean NO ONE, who attends this meet gets any sort of infringement notice.

Fingers crossed though.

Be good if they had a pusuit car there on display :D

This is looking huge, can I book a car spot? :)

I remember seeing a marked police car about 5 odd years ago - modified! Had aftermarket wheels [possibly 18inch], different bodykit and spoiler etc, sat very low and was based on an SS commo...It seemed to be *the boss'* car!

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
