Hmm, interesting topic.

If I remember correctly, I once knew a gentleman in Sydney with a White R33 GTS25T which had a GTR badge on it..... maybe thats another case for the books :rofl::P

GT-R badges are for GT-R's, you can put it on the bloody roof if you want to

MEMENTO's car is not badd. Considering its a real GTR and it looks alright there.

so what if those GTR badges came with the car ? my car came with GTR badges (front & rear)

and the first thing I did to the car was take them off. The dealer was like acting weird coz

he thought I was silly to remove them badges. I smiled and said to him "coz its not a GTR"

having a number plate that says its totally different car, its pretty .. hmm ..

like having an Impreza RX and putting HOT STI or something .. my 0.002 cents

You mean the one that was taken off the day that the car was purchased from the previous owner only to reveal two big screw holes underneath?

and nooooo.... No you can't.

Merli, you are the ring leader of all shit fights.  If it's not special boost controllers, it's penis wheels or even maybe a GTR badge that's a little lost.

I do my best

HMMMM is it sorta like have a r33 GTST and then buying the plates HKS33 is that the same thing or is that an exception, wow i wouldnt mind an offical HKS car if your selling it ......OH the IRONY......

Also my .3 cents the badges arent moving coz paint might be faded or even worse...i can live with them there i suppose

:) bagging my plates when you have HKS33 on a fairy stock Nissan skyline

my 2 cents...

first of all Id just like to say to OAK I think its really mature that you took the comments with a grain of salt and just had a bit of a laugh bout it all cos after all its all a matter of OPINION.

I dont think that merli meant any malice out of this either, we all know that he likes to stir a bit of shit from time to time and this is just another great example. I would probably say that it was not a good idea to single out the person by showing their license plate in a public forum cos then it gets personal and people get offended (as in M3M3NTO's case) as oppose to having a bit of a laugh bout it all.

M3M3NTO I think that you need to think about the way that OAK handled the remarks and the way you did. At the end of the day, as I have already stated, its all a matter of opinion and yes it is YOUR car and you do whatever you want with it... if someone doesnt like it then tuff shit. However, I think that your comments aimed at taking the piss out of OAK's car were a bit malicious, things like:

"THE OAK maybe you should do your self a favour and remove your badge or at least place it in the right spot. And since you wanna be a picky little fella why dont you remove you STICK ON Bonnet Pins too and get the real deal."

dont need to be said cos I think its going beyond the joke. I apologise in advance tho to M3M3NTO if Im wrong on this and your just joking but thats not how I read it. To me tho, it seems hypocritical to tell someone as you did that its your car and you can do whatever you want to it only to turn around and rip into someone elses car and their choice of mods. Having a laugh bout it all would have probably been the wiser option.

But again, my apologies if I misread your post

Anyway, its just my 2cents.

Me and The Oak are always giving each other shit, its all about the laugh at the end.

I didnt mean the post to sound like it did, but I would have liked to be informed before someone positng my pic and bagging it, as I would have liked to blur the plates, but hey its all done know, I dont really give a shit.

In my Opinion if you drive a skyline you should respect all other skylines, either be a r32gts or a r34 gtr. Thats my $1.00

hey ppl,

M3M3NTO and myself aer just having a play around its been discussed on irc many times all in good fun....

however when ppl bag someone then basically do the same thing thats abit of BS

anyhow kptr wat happened to the footage from the gor cruise?

im keen to see it

if you want a badge on your car just get a GTS badge , same shape as a GTR but has a S insted I am getting one off of the group buy GTS badge thread . And I agree it's your car in the end you can do what you want to it , I am sure the guy who first put neons under his car was told a thousand times it looked like shit and would never take off.

MY 2 euro

Hey Oak,

The GOR cruise footage was finished and looking good but the software Im using is giving me the shits and wont play the footage as I had it edited :hellpisd:

Im using Pinnacle 8 and its crap... trying to get my hands on version 9 now.

The footage of your car passing mine is taking pride of place :headbang:

Yeah that's right, it's your car........... however I don't think I would put something on my car that changes what it was from factory (badges). I could quite easily buy a V-Spec sticker and put it on the car, but it's not a V-spec so what would I be proving by doing it.

By the way when did neons take off........................................ :flower: :flower:

    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
