I know its a long shot but does anyone have a long drill bit/drill bit extension so I can drill down from my ceiling down the wall cavity through the timber studs so I can feed some wires through without having to cut the shit out of my walls. Would need to be about 1 to 1.2m long

trade tools direct have 2metre long ajustable drill bits for like $199 i reckn they were but if u do whative done just get a spade bit and a piece of threaded rod and weld it on the end and then shape the end for the drill bit all bits at bunnos for less than $50

if u really need i can hook u up with mine

Working at a house (being reno'd). Got talking about cars to the tradies. Tradies say dude who owns this house just sold a couple year old gun metal grey GTR and got a newer one and the brakes are huge.

I ask if the plates are GUN 350 and they're like "How the hell do you know"...small world.

So you're doing some stuff at Walkerville .... I haven't been down there to check it out for a few weeks, but last I heard from John it is coming along very nicely. And would you mean this new R35 (with my wife and child in it)? :)

I was going to buy my own but for a use once application I couldn't justify it. I was gonna go down the built my own route if no one had anything available but looks like I'm in the clear now!

And Steve, just doing a bit of cable management and running another powerpoint behind the TV

Yeah did some gutter guard around the back verandah, where the verandah meets the house itself. Tell John if he wants the whole house done (which he should as they are chockers with leaves), get in contact with me. Looks like a damn nice house. How far off have they said from occupancy?

Didnt see any of the cars. Just one of the guys said enough for me to figure out who it was. He was memerized by the "big brakes"

    • I've replaced the front brakes of my NA to 324 brembos and 350z calipers: i'm going for 225/40-18 up front and 245/35-18 in the back. I have Rays 7.5*19 ET35(225/35) in the front with 5mm spacers otherwise the calipers "lock up/ won't rotate". When i use the calculator i come up with 8*18 ET30 for 225/40...... but not sure i get problems with the calipers. Anyone riding around with 18 inch. that can confirm "that it'll fit"? In the back it's 7.5*9 ET30 (245/30) with the 5mm spacers, but there is no problem with the standard small brakes, so i want to take 8.5*18 ET25 (245/35).
    • Lol.. but then.. always come back to a JDM..
    • Glad to hear. If possible, get your tuner to check air's to make sure everything is still where it should be.
    • The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.
    • Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum. Hope you enjoy hanging around. We would love to have you.   P.s. nice 32 😀
