yes but modern cars include indicators in the main headlight assembly... which is what R33's and R34's do. R32's are pretty much the last of the OG jap muscle...

ah well, at the end of the day its your car.

But to be honest I've entertained ideas of getting clear indicators too. In the end I've decided that I'm gonna go the whole hog n replace em with drag style headlamps which were all the rage in japan's street scene a few months ago as far as R32's went.

Its basically a clear headlamp (no diffusers) with twin xenon headlights and the park light converted to an indicator. The indicator housing is cleared and then painted black on the inside to match the paint of the car. the orange bubble is left unpainted tho with a clear bulb that lights up orange in it, which I find wierd. However the street value of this convesion is about $1000 + shipping... which I couldn't justify on a device that works perfectly fine as it is.

i doubt that included the 2 xenon (HID) kits required for the conversion, i scoured with local guys high and low every up(py) garage, and other similar shops in osaka on my last trip to satisfy my hunger for hid. 1000 bucks bought me three kits and no light assy. H4 kit for kawasaki zx7, H4 li/low for 180sx and

H1 for GTR.

if you can hook me up with this kit for approx 1000 i will take one....for sure.

pm me with details.

This is getting off topic, but I highly recommend you don't use "HID conversion" kits as they rely on the pre-exisitng projectors which were never designed for HID/Xenon. If you are serious about HID, you need to retrofit Xenon projectors such as those from the Merc E55, BMW 3/5/7 series, Audi A6/S6, etc, and also get yourself a set of ballasts, wires and bulbs.

bugger..... HID probaly the best mod ive made to all my rides. turns the hills into daylight, no stretch of the truth, you have to drive with it to believe it.

It may well be better than the original, but unless the projector was specifically designed with a HID setup in mind, its probably less than optimal.

Retrofitting is not that hard if you have the time, inclination and do the research. I will be attempting to retrofit a set of Merc E55 bi-xenon projects/ballasts/etc into an R32 GT-R setup as soon as I can locate some R32 GT-R headlights for a decent price.

To buy all the necessary bits will cost you anywhere from $400-700.

the three modes (bike and two cars) ive converted are still 100 times better than any globe upgrade......ive tried every brand at every price point still no comparing. i have tested them using a special h/lamp HELLA aiming machine (most good crash/service shops will have one) for car light setup, not too much stray light, and keeps pretty close to original beam projection. may not work optimally but youve got soooo much extra light a small loss is of little concern, even sold a couple of bike conversion kits (reflector ballast globe etc) very popular just cant get my hands on enough S/H HID kits.

Sorry, re-reading my last post it sounds a bit confrontational -- it wasn't meant too. What I meant was: I don't doubt its better than standard halogen, but if you want the best possible result, you need the right projectors.

Just so you know, reflectors are less effective than projectors. I will be attempting to retrofit a kit like so -- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...ssPageName=WDVW -- into R32 GT-R headlights. By using Hella projectors (from an E55 Merc), ballasts, and high quality Philips D2S bulbs, the output should be as good as possible.

funkymonkey: you can have it -- the glass has ugly lines in it, not totally clear :)

Comes with everything you need... get it while its hot fellas.

Briefly describubg it: Its a D Speed indicator, been used for 4 months and it dun come with all the sockets etc, its up to you to use the sockets from your old indicator (which shouldn't be a problem). Ends in 1 day n 1 hour from now.

Hope one of you guys end up with it. if anyone wants me to get it then PM me. Also its best if you guys decide who's gonna get it instead of all of you bidding on it, since its just gonna make it more expensive for all of you.

yeah i saw em last night... btw I've got the cost for the headlights for you dude, I'll email it to you soonish, can you PM me your email addy?

You have PM :( (BTW, did you get my PM about the wheels?)

These ones seem a bit clearer than the d-speed ones you posted a few days ago.... tempting :) I can't quite understand the comment for this one though -- are they aftermarket or OEM ?

I'd take a gamble n say... different angle dude, it refracts n diffuses more when you look at it from the top. As for wheels, yup got PM, told my agent to look into it :(

you haven't seen clear yet guys... until you see THESE! Unfortunately only for GTSt's so :) to all you GTR fellas

Yeah, I thought it might be angle, but I have looked quite closely and I am not so sure.

Those clear ones are just standard ones that have had the ribbing sanded off -- you can still see the ribbing around the edges so ha!

Edit: Atleast that is my guess :)

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
