hahahahahahaha yeah she looks alright there but theres no many celebs who are like 10000x hotter

i swear kellie and charlie look almost the same LOL

Totally agree man. I just got into it coz she was all innocent then turned ho- lol.

And yer man, i reckon the director of hi-5 was just a mad perv that wanted a 3 way with em! Picking girls that look like sisters for good measure,

lol. my friend offered me his GTR one if I want to rice it up :P

OK. So annoying things I have found:

-If the passenger seat isn't most of the way back, you touch it whenever you go for 2nd.

-First and reverse don't go all the way in so you look like a learner when everyone moves except you sitting there grinding gears.

-Power steering is underrated when parking...

-I really really really want a tacho...

for me ...

No 5th gear = ridiculously loud engine above 70 km/h

head unit is weird, and if pressed too hard buttons dont work = distracting while driving

boot rattles a whole ton on not smooth roads at higher speeds

tacho would be nice

and the car feels heavy as sh** on any turn, worse than bob which was a bigger car!

the lack of a passenger side mirror is strange

the first and second levels of aircon dont work, only 3rd and 4th and that = FREEZING UR BALLS OFF

passenger side windows dont wind down

the goods:

clutch is soft as jello

gears are forgiving and easy to put in

surprisingly decent power ...

I drove all the way from the vines to claremont and the fuel gauge barely moved!

and tons more

Im actually really happy with my 700 dollar excel!

getting it booked in for an immobiliser asap n thn insuring it with RAC :)

5th in mine, I can go into it at 50-55kmh lol. I imagine at 100 its around 3.2krpm but that doesn't phase me cause its actually quite responsive for overtaking at 100 lol.

My headunit is ok but speakers are going (crackle at loud volume) and no CD player.

My turning is fine - just annoying when parking.

Oh and my AC works a treat ;)

Planned mods:

Sticking the "S" from my skylines old badge in front of excel

Big Mugen and Nismo Stickers on the front/rear windscreen

Tons of decals

Cannon muffler with 6 inch piping

Two Tone paintjob from home

Shinier chrome wheels

massive spoiler

Big Cheap subwoofers and amps hanging all over the car

Mini LCD Screens from all over - Pimp my ride style

Pitch black tinting - DIY

Pink neons

Playboy Seat covers

Pink LED's lighting up the whole interior

what do you guys think?

I need my 2 weaker levels of A/C to work .. anybody know whats wrong with it there?

Hahaha yeah i can get into 4th at about 40km/h .. same as my skyline actually

Yeah my headunit only has a tape player .. ghetto much?

haha some of the little beasts run quite well from my experience (and now these 2) Definitely not a 3cyl charade though!! lol

And jonno, your mods sound awesome man!! haha. Have you watched the show angry boys? It sounds like the 'pulsie' they did up.

I think a GTR Badge would suit a bubble well james ;)

Too bad Hyundai never had a special devision like nismo/ralliart/mugen ... i woulda badged the sh** out of my excel :D

I do want to sell this car some day though ...

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
